Code Explanation

Hi,

As somebody that is really interested in understanding how things work can someone describe how MGMode, MGRatio, MGStep and MGPips interact? I think MGRatio is the lots multiplier and MGStep is the distance in pips between new trades but not sure on the other 2.

Thanks in advance.

Hi twodogs,

I think - I can not help here as I am not using MM for this EA - I switched MM to false (to 0):

This EA is complicated/confused by coding and the author Igorad is not here for now. May be - MrTools can explain more as he created TickScalper_v3.44 news filter EA as the next version which I did not test/trade yet.

I also have MM set to zero, I will ask Mrtools.

Thanks

Hi Twodogs,

The mm set to zero just means no money management, which from my understanding of the code mm= 1 means pretty much regular money management using risk and account balance mm= 2 same as 1 except it takes your max loss settings into account.

Now the MgMode = 0 means no martingale, if MgMode = 1 then martingale style trading. MgPips is how many pips profit if in martingale mode, and exit mode = 11. MgStep is when in martingale mode its pips between orders.MgRatio is guess you could call it a lot multiplier during martingale sequence for supposed true martingale set it at 2 so as you go in lot progression if you start with .01 lotsize, then next will be .02,.04,.08,.16,.32 every lotsize multiplied by 2 myself personally prefer something like 1.5 others prefer a fibonacci sequence which would be 1.63.

Hopefully this helps somewhat
