Is anyone here successfully trading with range bars ?

Which accompanying indicators do you use ?

A 5 pip range never worked for me, indicators react too sensitive and there is too much whipsaw.

MACD in various settings is also not that good.

Try using 15 range on EURUSD and 20 on GBPUSD.

Just attached cci 50 to euusd range bar size 15.

Too many whipsaws for me.

Are there any other indicators for trend-following you can recommend ?

5 pips range works for USDJPY,EURUSD, EURGBP.

10-15 pips for more volatile pairs lie GBPUSD, GBPJPY, EURJPY.

Renko bars from Mr Nims thread serve the same purpose as rage bars and they r free.
