I got AccountEquityPercentProtection. Still in positive balance/equity.

After 5 hour EA will start to trade again (after AccountEquityPercentProtection).

I'm just started running two versions of Alpha9 on two $2500 demo accounts. I am using low volatility currencies only (ATR historically less than 80).

Momentum deviation false (trending), and momentum deviation true (countertrending).

Momentum deviation=false is doing better.

I wish there was some way you could run three versions of Alpha9. One trending on demo, one countertrending on demo - and a third Alpha9 trading live that can see which of the other Alpha9s performed best recently, and switch its momentum deviation to the best setting.

Still believe is OK the way is placing orders?

without momentum deviation is NOT trending.

I have momentum deviation = true (I did not change the settings).

I know you're testing with default settings, but according to description of functions, without momentum deviation should be trend follower, which is not, as you can see is buying when trend for corresponding TF is down.

In fact, is only buying or only selling for any given pair no matter what.

Alpha9 Trade Direction

Hi, I was running alpha in 19 pairs for past 2 weeks, more than 170 trades,

In all of them, it just trade in the Monthly Trend direction

And, if we set - "Use MN Trend" & "Use W1 Trend" to false ??

I will just trade in the D1 Trend direction ?

I tried this already, is doing same crap

No matter what, it trade only one direction.

I think this is the idea of a trend following EA based on MTF_HAS like Alpha9,

Just trade in the monthly trend direction

In Alpha, when things go wrong in a trade, it just let it run, hopping for a reverse, based on the strong of the monthly trend or until get stopped by the 100 pips under/over 100 days SMA.

And this sounds OK to you?

Then what's the purpose of lower TF if is using monthly anyway?

No,...I guess I was thinking like you, but i think alpha9 does not work in the way we both were thinking ...
