Concerning MomDev off ...

I saw Firebird results. It is counter trend EA.

So, you can see the results here https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/173383/page103

And DayTrading3 as well ...

Thus, this time is not good time for MomDev on.

May be I am wrong sorry.

But I do not think that this high volatility will exist for the long time.

I know firebird... momentum deviation is taken from there and implemented in Alpha

And opposite to counter trend EAs you can see trend following EAs results https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/173383 (Scalp_net, mandarine, goldwarrior). EAs are in good profit. I did not make the statements for step EAs yet (trend followers as well) but I saw one trade with the about +800 pips.

So, it is not usual situation when almost all trend following EAs are in great profit and all counter trend EAs are in great loss. May be it is abnormal situaion. Usually we are having just 50:50 or aroud it (40:60; 60:40).

I think this market condition week was not usual case.

Is not only last week, is for last 2-3 moths.

I run a backtest with and without mom deviation since 2007.01.01, starting with 2008 momentum deviation is doing more bad than good, is better without it.

Another thing:

Looking on all available history we can easily see for any pair is only buying or only selling.

I don't think this is normal, especially for lower TF.

My Alpha is not trading after recent AccountEquityPercentProtection.

HourToRestart = 96 hours by default. It is written on the chart:

"we will wait 22 hours before trade again".

Yes, I know that, I'm talking about history you provided.

Look at excel file I made, is grouped by pairs and TF.

You won't find any sell for AUDCAD, only buys, no buy for AUDJPY, only sells, and is the same for ALL pairs.

You think is normal to trade same direction for months even for lower TF, like 5M or 15M?

It is normal for this EA as it is ala St...itz EA (taking direction from more higheir timeframe). Other EAs are using this technique as well - TSD EAs for example https://www.mql5.com/en/forum

If you say so... I still believe is not normal.

If is taking direction for a higher TF this mean is trading for that TF.

Then what's purpose of lower TF if trading on direction of a Higher TF?

Seem like a nonsense to me.

Example:

Let's say is taking direction from W1 but trade for H1 or lower.

Direction from W1 is up, but for H1 is down and is going down for 500 pips in 2 hours while W1 still say up. Need to continue?

I think this is second reason for equity stop loss...

It is some kind of theory and trading systems. Very popular systems. Alexander Elder with

'Triple screen trading system' for example (TSD EAs). Look at this post for example https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/172889

Many EAs were designed using this theory and it was tested during the long time and many members like it.

So, Alpha may be one of this kind of EA. I did not look inside the code but if it is MTF EA so it should be this kind.
