Well it's 3 am here in Central time. Last night i did that very thing, and found the longer term to be better. Used in conjunction with the longer term time frames CCI as well i think it is superior.

Short GBPUSD @ 1.9946.

Please see the pick below. I closed the short out for a quick +7 because of the overheating CCI-5. This is purely a learning point for me. Does the overheating overrule any other signal. Or, should one look to longer time frames to see if the overheating signal should be taken.

Valeo - Any chance you had time to save your new templates?

Just before I get too carried away, here is my first entry for the day @ 08h20 @ 1.9950 (my TS) - it ran to +16 before retracing and it seemed as if the price would not break the previous Hi @ 1.9961. Nevertheless, I stayed in until it stopped me out for +1 but for those of you who would have been satisfied with +10- 15 pips, it was there for the taking.

Please check the reasons for no-entries prior to my entry and see if you agree.

Best wishes.

Hi Valeo

I took the same trade - got same price (1.9950) and got same result too!

Thank you.

ValeoFX:
Good morning Cl,

I do not blame you for feeling that way, but may I suggest that you take a new chart and just put the 2 CCi-combinations on it and study it as far back as it will allow you for entries. Let us discuss your findings afterwards.

Best wishes.

Well it's 3 am here in Central time. Last night i did that very thing, and found the longer term to be better. Used in conjunction with the longer term time frames CCI as well i think it is superior. - Edit - I think the CCI 15 is "more aggressive". This system isn't about being aggressive. Just my thought now after "viewing" history. :-)

Short GBPUSD @ 1.9946.

I felt like it would be over at around 1.9928. The MA on the one hour held pretty much. The 4hour and 1 hour RSI's were coming back to the top i thought. The 5 minute showed the diamond and a weakening trend. We shall see.

Pretty sure this is going to help out frenzied traders looking for solutions. Just had to do a reinstall on a new PC where I am staying currently...

M15 also (same as M5???????????????????) -- I cannot remember the subtle altercations on M15 but will look them up and edit later.

That saves people wondering where to get the indicators/charts/instructions.

Talking of CCIs, here is the CCI indicator that you can use over Woodies. So I now have 34 and 15 and 5 all on 1 x CCI window (I am using pale green and thickening the line to +2 for the 3rd CCI).

Took the news short (as well as the pre-news long --- for 2 pips!) Unfortunately I made a mistake I will never, ever make again. I placed a market order manually and forgot to check the size of lots traded and lost out on a lot of profits. The lesson is to know your default lot sizes or check each time how much is being traded.

I thought about doing that. That retail number was horrible. After the 12 bar the CCI overheated, and i thought about neglecting that to short. I guess that begs the question - is this just an 8% trade (keeps going) or if news will have a pronounced impact should you neglet the signal?

thks CL

thks cl.

i use a 30 cci for fx. Its kinda similar to something I use for futures which is set at 5,14.

i think i saw somewhere in here on an indi called eco. Which is the ergodic candlestick osc. Thats what i use in place of a cci for futures.

in addition, like the pbf heatmap indi for tradestation, its pretty much a cci.

But coded in histogram dual color and shows extremes for px move where the

bars change to yellow.

So cci is one thats used widely in many system/method set-up

thks again cl

cheers
