Great EA in backtest! - page 62

Is that what you're asking

Its a broker problem is what they say... its the different feeds.

Answer your question or no? let me know

thanks YupYup for Your help,

data downloaded from alpari. the same testing period, the same data feed, different brokers only. so it's not a matter of different data feeds, broker maybe, but it's hard to believe.

True Story

Kalamari

Glad i could help out... Its the brokers and how much they widen their pip spreads during trading. I was using IBFX one time and the 2 pip spread for eurusd went to 4 pips. And then when they were asked about it they said they had no control over it. Well they changed their minds i guess... because later they told us to ask the live help and they would fix it. Thats my only guess. Is the brokers and how many pips they really get from you

Just my 2 cents,

B

Please post your results when done, looking forward to them

Different results

We need to be clear about this.

Let's observe the difference of our tests:

1. Broker platform.

IBFX has other labels for mini lots (EURUSDm, 1.0)

FXDD mini lot is 0.1

2. Reports.

Kalamari: 16418 bars

kat: 14219 bars

Kalamari: 1534666 ticks modelled

kat: 2980208 ticks modelled

Can this influence the results?

The data we have used is the same but in the strict sense we have to adjust the GMT shift. Alpari data is CET, which is now GMT + 2.

Any idea to clear up?

I will test again, too.

same results for my testing. only this time 0.1 lot used.

Can this influence the results?

i think it can. the question is why Your backtester used less bars within the same period and same data feed. and what are modelled ticks. i'll do some research.

if time control is disabled GMT offset isn't important.

.........

i tried it with IBFX accout, but showed NO RESULTS... this is weird......

here is an article that explains what are the numbers at backtesting report:

https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/1486

'Bars in test' field displays the depth of the history on which the modeling was based.

so i understand if we have both same data from alpari, and the same period is tested we sholud have at least equal number of bars. so why we have different? i'm tired.
