Your signal is down this month: a four-step check before you stop copying

October has started badly on our flagship account. On its statistics tab this morning, the month so far reads -17.15%, or -433.91 EUR, almost all of it from gold. If you copy a signal, ours or anyone's, a month like this is when the question comes: is something broken, or is this what the system looks like? Here is the check we would run on any signal before deciding.

1. Is this outside the record's own history?

Open the monthly table and count the red months. Our flagship has 26 months on the page and 7 of them are red, October included. Its deepest is its very first, September 2024 at -29.73%. October so far is the second deepest, close to April 2026 at -16.28%.

Then read the maximal drawdown row on the statistics tab. It is kept in money, and it only moves when a fall goes deeper than any before it. On our account it still reads 503.91 EUR. This fall has not passed it.

2. Where did it come from?

The distribution tab splits the result by instrument. Since Monday morning, gold's net on our account fell by 359 dollars as the tab counts it, while the other four instruments together moved by less than five. One instrument in a rough stretch is a different thing from every instrument failing at once.

3. Did anyone step in?

The statistics tab shows the share of trades placed by an algorithm. Ours reads 100%. A hand that panics in a drawdown shows up in that row, and so does a hand that doubles down. While it stays at 100%, the trades you are copying are still the system's.

4. What happened after the earlier red months?

Read this as history, not as a forecast. Each of the six red months before October was followed by a green one, from +0.24% to +57.66%. Six cases is a small sample, and nothing in it promises a seventh. What it does show is that red months have been part of this record since its first month, and the record carried on through them.

What this check cannot tell you

Whether next week is green. A drawdown inside a record's own history is still a drawdown, and it still has to be sat through. If a fall ever goes past the record's worst, step 1 gives a different answer, and so should you. Past results, ours included, do not predict future ones.

The figures come from the public record of our flagship account on MQL5, where every closed trade is listed: Techno Long Term, signal 2307342.
