If you already know Sycz HolyGrail, meet its little brother: SYCZ-Gold Blitz.
Gold Blitz is my automated gold EA for MetaTrader 5. It brings together four trading profiles, automatic lot sizing, entry filters and a dashboard that shows what the EA is doing on your account.
The setup starts with two choices: which trading profile you want to run, and how you want your lot size to scale. Those settings do different jobs, and understanding them makes the EA much easier to use.
Four profiles, one EA
SYCZ-Gold Blitz includes Blitz Strike, Blitz Wave, Blitz Edge and Funded Strike. Each profile has its own built-in trading settings, including order management, stop loss, take profit and trailing behaviour.
Blitz Strike, Blitz Wave and Funded Strike analyse the M15 timeframe. Blitz Edge uses M30. The EA reads the timeframe required by your selected profile automatically, so attaching it to an H1 chart does not turn it into an H1 strategy.
If you want to use Blitz Strike, use an ECN broker. This is the broker setup I recommend for that profile. Compare the broker’s gold trading conditions, including commission and execution, before choosing an account.
Funded Strike is also available for traders who want to use that profile alongside the account protection settings. Selecting Funded Strike does not automatically enable protection or make the EA suitable for every funded account. You still need to configure the limits around your firm’s rules.
Lot sizing that follows your balance
The Capital Engine controls position size. You can choose Safe, Normal, Risky or High Risk, or turn automatic sizing off and use a fixed lot.
On a USD account, the automatic sizing ratios are:
| Capital profile | Balance per 0.01 lot |
|---|---|
| Safe | $400 |
| Normal | $300 |
| Risky | $200 |
| High Risk | $100 |
These amounts are scaling ratios, not minimum balances required to keep the EA running.
For example, High Risk calculates 0.01 lot at a $100 balance and 0.02 lot at $200. Falling below $100 does not activate a balance-based pause. The calculated volume is adjusted to the broker’s permitted minimum, maximum and lot step, and the account must still have enough margin.
The capital profile only changes lot sizing. It does not change the selected trading profile’s entry logic, stop loss, take profit or trailing settings.
Control over when new trades can open
Gold Blitz includes a spread filter, a news filter and trading schedule controls.
The spread filter defaults to 30 broker points. Check your broker’s gold quote format when comparing that number with a spread shown in dollars.
The news filter is enabled by default for high-impact USD events, with a 30-minute window before and after the event. Pending-order cancellation during that window is also enabled by default.
For backtesting, historical news filtering requires a valid news cache covering the test period. If that data is unavailable, the tester can continue with a warning that the news filter was not applied.
Daily and Friday closing controls are available too. Their scheduled times follow the broker’s server time.
See what the EA is doing
The chart dashboard shows the active trading profile, capital profile, next calculated lot size, trading status, profit and loss, and open position and pending-order counts.
When new entries are paused, the dashboard helps you see the reason. The SYCZ chart theme keeps those details together without needing to open the settings repeatedly.
SYCZ-Gold Blitz is the little brother of Sycz HolyGrail, with its own profiles and setup. Start with the profile you want to trade, choose a sensible position size, and test it on your intended broker’s demo account. Backtest results are useful for evaluating a setup, but they are not a promise of future performance.
