Which set file should I use?

AutoRisk 1% - recommended starting profile

Position sizing uses realized account balance and the proposed entry-to-stop distance. Calculated volume can rise as the balance grows and fall after losses; broker lot steps and each trade's stop distance also affect the result. Ordinary strategies target the base 1% per new trade. Morning Reversal, H4 Breakout and Afternoon Carry use 2x allocation, targeting 2% per new trade. These are sizing targets, not guaranteed realized losses.

To use another base percentage, edit Base risk % per trade (InpAutoRiskPercentPerTrade) after loading the AutoRisk profile. The three selected strategies still use twice the base value. For example, a 2% base targets 4% for those strategies and materially increases exposure.

Manual base 0.01 lot

This profile uses a base lot rather than percentage compounding. Ordinary strategies request 0.01 lot; Morning Reversal, H4 Breakout and Afternoon Carry request 0.02 lot. Broker volume rules and admission checks still apply. It is not a uniform 0.01-lot setting for every trade, and a fixed lot is not a fixed cash risk.

Recommended setup

• Platform: MetaTrader 5.
• Instrument and chart: your broker's XAUUSD / compatible Gold symbol, M15.
• Account type: hedged recommended for separate strategy positions.
• Starting balance reference: USD 1,000 or more; verify minimum-lot risk and margin on your own broker.
• Broker preference: IC Markets / IC Trading are the author's reference choices, not exclusive requirements. Other compatible MT5 brokers may be used after checking symbol specifications and execution conditions.
• Connection: a stable terminal connection; a low-latency VPS can help maintain availability.

Both presets enable automatic Gold-symbol detection. If the broker's symbol cannot be resolved correctly, use the symbol override. Automatic GMT alignment is enabled; verify the broker's time and daylight-saving settings. The supplied tester offsets are GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in summer, which are not universal broker settings.

Installation and first test

1. Install the matching Gold Orchestra build and confirm version 1.865. If your Market installation is older, obtain the matching update before using these presets.
2. Start in Strategy Tester, choose the broker's Gold symbol and M15, and load one attached preset from the Inputs tab.
3. Review lot mode, base risk, minimum-lot fallback, risk caps, broker-time settings and deployment identity.
4. Use Every tick based on real ticks, optimization disabled, the intended deposit and leverage, and realistic broker costs and delays. Use Visual mode to inspect the dashboard.
5. After testing, use a broker-matched demo account for chart operation. Open one Gold M15 chart, attach the EA and load the same preset in EA Properties - Inputs - Load.
6. Review the setup before deliberately allowing automated trading on that demo account. Check the Experts and Journal tabs for successful initialization and any warnings.

Automated trading must be permitted at both platform and EA level for demo/live chart orders. Disabling it can also prevent the EA from managing existing positions; it does not close them. Use an isolated Strategy Tester session for inspection without live orders.

Updating an existing installation

v1.865 retains v1.864's trading engine and restart fix. Its default magic number remains 2609071863 and its default instance remains V1863_CHART_DASHBOARD intentionally, to preserve ownership and saved-state continuity within this dashboard release line.

Keep your existing customized magic, instance, symbol, risk and GMT settings when replacing v1.863/v1.864. Do not load a preset over customized settings without reviewing the changes. Do not delete saved state or change magic to bypass an initialization error. Migration from an older release is not an automatic position takeover; request help before replacing an EA that still manages open positions.

Backtesting, updates and trading disclaimer

Test bullish, bearish and ranging periods and inspect drawdowns, trade overlap, costs and runtime errors. Historical backtests are simulations, not live results. The v1.865 dashboard upgrade does not itself claim better profitability.

Future updates may refine execution, risk controls or strategy logic. Availability and changes depend on each release; no update can guarantee a stronger future edge or improved results. Always read the change notes and use matching presets.

Gold Orchestra is a rules-based automated trading strategy, not a get-rich-quick scheme. It seeks trading opportunities, but any historical edge can weaken. Losing trades, losing periods and drawdowns are normal. Past results, backtests and live monitoring do not guarantee future results. Only consider live trading after broker-specific testing and with capital you can afford to lose.
