Performance Dashboard – User Guide

Getting Started

Attach the indicator to any chart in MetaTrader 5. The dashboard automatically loads account statistics and trading analytics.

Use Magic Number filters and date controls to analyze specific strategies or periods. The dashboard refreshes automatically every 10 seconds. Use the Refresh button to update it immediately.

To modify settings:

  1. Press Ctrl + I
  2. Select Performance Dashboard
  3. Click Properties

Input Parameters

SCAN_MODE

  • SCAN_AUTO automatically detects Magic Numbers from account history.
  • SCAN_MANUAL uses Magic Numbers entered manually.

Magic_Numbers

Comma-separated Magic Numbers used in MANUAL mode.

Example: 1001,1002,1005

Date_From / Date_To

Custom analysis period used by the RANGE filter.

Format: YYYY.MM.DD HH:MM:SS

Profit_by_Magic_Number

  • ON displays profit for each strategy in Magic Info.
  • OFF displays strategy names only.

Include_Manual_Trades

  • ON includes trades with Magic Number 0.
  • OFF excludes manual trades.

Show_Period_Profit_Percent

  • ON displays both monetary profit and percentage growth in Period Profit views.
  • OFF displays monetary profit only.

Percentage calculation:

  • 12M: monthly profit relative to account balance at the beginning of the month.
  • MONTH: daily profit relative to account balance at the beginning of each day.
  • DAILY: each trade relative to account balance at the beginning of the current day.

PanelCorner / PanelX / PanelY

Control the dashboard anchor corner and screen position.

PanelWidth / PanelHeight

Control the dashboard dimensions.

Strategy Controls

ALL selects all detected strategies.

NONE clears the current selection.

HIDE / UNHIDE hides unselected Magic Numbers or restores the complete list.

Click a Magic Number button to enable or disable an individual strategy. When the list exceeds the available area, use Prev / Next to change pages.

Results Modes

BASIC displays essential performance metrics.

EXTENDED displays the complete analytics set, including Sharpe Ratio, Recovery Factor, LR Correlation, Z-score, drawdown statistics and estimated slippage impact.

Quick Date Filters

  • TODAY: current trading day.
  • WEEK: current week.
  • MONTH: current month.
  • YEAR: current year.
  • RANGE: custom Date_From and Date_To period.
  • FIRST TRADE: analyzes history from the earliest trade belonging to the selected Magic Numbers. The starting date updates automatically when the selection changes.

Dashboard Sections

MAGIC INFO shows strategy names and optional profit by Magic Number.

SYMBOL PROFIT groups results by traded symbol.

PERIOD PROFIT provides three views:

  • 12M: monthly performance for the latest 12 months.
  • MONTH: daily performance calendar for the selected month.
  • DAILY: today’s closed trades. Extended mode also shows estimated slippage impact.

FINANCE displays deposits, withdrawals and other balance operations.

Additional Controls

Refresh updates dashboard data immediately.

Minimize collapses the dashboard.

X closes the dashboard and removes its objects from the chart.

Notes

The dashboard uses real MT5 account history. Ensure the complete account history is loaded for accurate results.

Estimated slippage is calculated where a reliable requested price is available, primarily for pending-order entries and SL/TP exits.

Some advanced metrics require a sufficient number of trades. Consistent Magic Number usage is recommended for accurate strategy identification.
