Yearly Highs & Lows Pro — Range Extensions automatically displays the previous year’s high, low and midpoint, together with calculated extensions and intermediate levels. These reference levels help traders assess potential support, resistance, congestion, breakouts and retests. Advanced AI tools had been used for the most accurate programming of this indicator.

Main Features

  • Yearly High, Low and Midpoint: The midpoint is calculated as (High + Low) ÷ 2 .
  • Range Extensions: R2/S2 extend 50% of the previous year’s range beyond its high and low; R3/S3 extend 100%.
  • Intermediate Levels: Additional midpoints within the yearly range and between extension levels.
  • Separate Yearly Sections: Clearly labelled source years, optional thin vertical separators and adjustable historical display.
  • White and Black Colour Schemes: Coordinated presets with customisable colours, line widths and styles.
  • Optional Shaded Bands: Highlight the main levels and extensions, with adjustable band width and shade strength.
  • Flexible Labels: Show or hide prices, main-level markers and intermediate levels.

Practical Uses

Yearly highs and lows can be difficult to recognise on lower-timeframe charts. This indicator keeps them visible, while maintaining consistent reference prices across chart timeframes on the same broker feed.

Watch how price behaves near each level: rejection, consolidation or a break followed by a retest may provide useful context. A monthly close beyond the previous year’s high or low can also serve as a breakout-confirmation filter.

The levels can help structure potential targets, exits and entry areas when combined with price-action confirmation. Use them alongside Ichimoku, MACD or higher-timeframe moving averages to assess the broader trend.
