Automated. Disciplined. Fully Customisable.
The Aurex EMA Trend EA is a fully automated trend-following Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4, designed around one of the most established concepts in technical trading: Exponential Moving Average crossovers.
Instead of requiring you to continuously monitor charts for potential entries, Aurex EMA Trend EA monitors the market automatically and executes trades when its configured conditions are met.
At its core, the EA monitors a Fast EMA and Slow EMA for confirmed crossovers. An optional longer-term Trend EMA can then be used to filter signals so the EA only trades in the direction of the broader market trend.
The default configuration uses:
20 EMA — Fast EMA
50 EMA — Slow EMA
200 EMA — Long-Term Trend Filter
All three periods can be changed by the user.
HOW IT TRADES
BUY
A potential BUY is generated when the Fast EMA crosses above the Slow EMA.
When the optional Trend Filter is enabled, price must also be above the Trend EMA.
Additional confirmation can require the completed signal candle to close above the Slow EMA before a position is opened.
SELL
A potential SELL is generated when the Fast EMA crosses below the Slow EMA.
When the Trend Filter is enabled, price must also be below the Trend EMA.
Additional confirmation can require the completed signal candle to close below the Slow EMA.
Signals are evaluated using completed candles to help prevent temporary intrabar EMA movements from repeatedly generating false crossover signals.
Fully Automated Trading
Once configured and attached to an MT4 chart, the EA automatically monitors for qualifying signals and handles trade execution.
Customisable EMA Strategy
Adjust the Fast, Slow and Trend EMA periods to create your own EMA configuration.
Optional 200 EMA Trend Filter
Restrict trades to the broader market direction or disable the filter completely.
Fixed Lot or Percentage Risk
Choose a fixed lot size or allow the EA to calculate position size according to a selected percentage of account balance.
Fixed or ATR Stop Loss
Use a traditional fixed-pip Stop Loss or allow ATR to dynamically adjust the stop distance according to market volatility.
Risk-to-Reward Targets
Take Profit can automatically be calculated as a multiple of the Stop Loss distance.
Automatic Break-Even
The EA can move the Stop Loss into profit after the position reaches a configurable profit threshold.
Automatic Trailing Stop
Allow profitable trades to continue running while progressively protecting accumulated profit.
Spread Protection
Prevent new positions from being opened when the spread exceeds your chosen maximum.
Trading Hours
