Pass the challenge by following the rules every day, even on the bad ones. EdgeProof Account Guardian watches your whole account in real time and enforces prop firm rules for you: daily loss, maximum drawdown, profit target, and your own trading rules.
ACCOUNT LIMITS
- Daily loss limit as a percent of the day-start value (balance, or the higher of balance and equity at reset).
- Maximum drawdown: static from the initial balance, or trailing from the highest equity, with an option to stop trailing at the initial balance.
- Profit target: when it is reached, all positions are closed and trading stops, so a winning challenge is not given back.
- Early warning at a level you choose (default 60%) and close-all before the real limit (default 85%), so slippage during the close does not break the rule.
- Ready presets: two-step challenge, one-step challenge with trailing drawdown, funded account, or your own values.
PROFIT LOCK
Three steps protect a good day. Example: after +1% the day cannot end below 0%, after +2% not below +1%, after +3% not below +2%. If the day falls back to the floor, everything is closed and the profit is kept.
TRADE RULES (each can be turned off)
- Maximum new trades per day and maximum open positions.
- Maximum lot per trade and maximum risk per trade as a percent of balance.
- Trades without a stop loss: after a grace period, a stop loss is added at your max risk, or the trade is closed.
- Trading hours window.
- News filter: new trades are blocked before and after high-impact events for the currencies of the symbol, using the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar. Optionally close open trades before the news.
- Weekend close: all positions closed on Friday at the hour you choose, trading blocked until Monday.
SHOCK TEST
Shows what your open positions would lose if price gapped 3x or 5x the daily ATR, and whether that would break the daily loss or drawdown limit. You see the risk before the market shows it to you.
PANEL
One clear panel: daily loss left with a countdown to the reset, drawdown left, distance to the target, trades today, open positions, profit lock steps, shock test and the next news event. Click the title to switch to a compact view. Buttons: pause trading for today, close all (two clicks to confirm).
WORKS WITH
- Manual trading and any Expert Advisor, on all symbols of the account.
- Any broker, any account currency, hedging and netting accounts.
- One copy on one chart protects the whole account. It remembers its state after a terminal restart or VPS migration.
HOW TO USE
1. Attach it to ONE chart (any symbol) and allow Algo Trading.
2. Choose a preset or enter your firm's rules. Enter the initial balance of the challenge if the account has already traded.
3. Check how your firm defines the day start and the reset time, and set the reset hour.
4. Keep the terminal running, on a VPS for 24/5 protection.
IMPORTANT
- MetaTrader 5 cannot block an order before it is sent. The Guardian closes a rule-breaking trade immediately after it opens.
- In a fast market or a gap, closing can happen at a worse price. Keep the close level below 100%.
- The news filter uses the built-in calendar and does not work in the Strategy Tester.
- This tool reduces the risk of breaking a rule. It does not guarantee that you will pass a challenge.
STRATEGY TESTER DEMO
The tester has no manual trades, so the Guardian opens small random demo trades (some without a stop loss, some over the daily trade limit) to show every rule at work. On a live chart it never opens trades.
