HOW IT WORKS (default mode: night grid)
- It trades only between 23:00 and 00:59 server time, on EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD and USDCAD.
- When a pair moves sharply in 15 minutes, FANG trades against the move.
- If the move continues, it adds up to 4 more positions of the same size (no martingale), at least 30 minutes apart.
- The whole basket closes at one small target. After 4 hours the target drops to break-even, and a basket still open after 12 hours is closed at market, even at a loss.
- Crisis shield. No new baskets while the VIX is above 40. The VIX symbol is detected automatically, as the rest of them, if your broker has none, enter it in the inputs or the shield stays off.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Many small winning baskets and occasional larger losses. A full 5-leg basket on a trending or news night can lose roughly $20-30 per 0.01 lot in a worse case scenario. There is no stop loss per position. 80% winrate.
OPTIONAL: MAIN GRID (off by default, large accounts only)
A mean-reversion grid on 25 pairs. It opens a trade when the price is more than 1 daily range away from its 96-hour average, adds positions every 1.6 ranges (maximum 7) and closes the whole basket for a small profit. It never closes at a loss, so all its risk is floating and its drawdown is much larger. The preset FangEA_213_agresivo turns it on (main grid + night grid on 28 pairs).
FEATURES
- No martingale and no lot increase. Every position uses the same lot.
- Default settings run at the minimum lot size.
- Symbols are found automatically with any broker suffix or prefix.
- A panel on the chart shows the open baskets, the floating result, the risk and the active mode.
- Backtested on historical data, plus simulation tests back to 2008 against random entries and parameter changes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Hedging account with a low-spread broker (spreads widen at the rollover, which is inside the trading window).
- Server time that follows the New York close (GMT+2/+3 with US daylight saving).
- Attach it to one chart of any of the four pairs, any timeframe. A VPS is recommended.
- Balance: $100 is the practical minimum at 0.01 lot. $500 or more is recommended in the default settings.
- Account leverage 1:500 or lower.
- Use the default input values (they are the recommended settings). No preset file is needed.
