DOUBLEorNOTHING Cycle is the version of the DOUBLEorNOTHING family designed to combine an aggressive Gold / XAUUSD trading strategy with a target-based capital growth model.
The main idea behind the DOUBLEorNOTHING family is simple: recovery strategies can generate strong growth, but they can also experience significant drawdowns. For this reason, each version uses the same core trading concept while handling capital and profits differently.
In Cycle mode, the objective is to grow a defined active capital base toward a target and, once that target is reached with no open basket, virtually separate the accumulated profit and begin a new cycle.

How it works
The EA identifies XAUUSD trading opportunities through its internal technical entry logic and opens the first position using the user-defined BaseLot.
If the market moves against the initial position, the EA may add additional recovery levels according to its internal progression.
The complete group of positions is managed as a single basket until the exit target calculated by the system is reached.
Trading is fully automated.
The BaseLot is configurable, for example:
- 0.01
- 0.02
- 0.05
- 0.10
The complete recovery lot structure scales proportionally from this value.
What makes Cycle different
By default, DOUBLEorNOTHING Cycle operates with:
Starting active capital: 10,000 units
Cycle target: 20,000 units
While active capital remains between 10,000 and 20,000, all realized profit stays active and remains available to the strategy.
Example:
The account starts with 10,000 units.
If it grows to 13,000 or 16,000, the entire amount remains active.
Only when active capital reaches approximately 20,000, and no basket is open, does the EA complete the cycle.
At that point, the amount above the 10,000 base is recorded as virtually protected profit.
A new cycle then starts again with 10,000 units of active capital.
Cycle example
Starting point:
Active capital: 10,000
Protected profit: 0
After growth:
Total balance: 20,000
Once the target is reached and the account is flat:
Active capital for the next cycle: 10,000
Accumulated protected profit: 10,000
The EA then starts looking for another 10,000-to-20,000 growth cycle.
Intermediate profit remains at risk
An important characteristic of Cycle is that profit is not protected before the full target is reached.
If the account grows from 10,000 to 15,000, the additional 5,000 units remain part of the active capital.
This means they are available to support deeper recovery baskets, but they also remain exposed to strategy risk.
Profit protection only occurs after the complete cycle target is reached and the basket is fully closed.
Virtual protected capital
Protected profit is not automatically withdrawn from the broker.
The EA uses an internal virtual wallet to separate:
Active capital — funds available for new trades and recovery.
Protected profit — funds that physically remain in the broker account but are excluded from financing future cycles.
This allows the strategy to repeat growth cycles from a defined active base.
Session-close protection
The EA uses the trading-session information provided by the broker.
By default, no new basket is opened during the final 30 minutes before the trading session closes.
If a basket is already open, it is not force-closed simply because the session is approaching its end.
Normal strategy management continues.
Risk and margin management
Before adding new positions, the EA checks available margin and execution conditions.
The ability to complete every recovery level depends on broker conditions, leverage, XAUUSD contract specifications, BaseLot and available capital.
Increasing BaseLot proportionally increases the exposure of the complete recovery structure.

DOUBLEorNOTHING Cycle uses a recovery strategy with progressively increasing exposure.
This type of approach can generate significant drawdowns and may result in partial or complete loss of the capital used.
The protected-profit mechanism is virtual. Funds remain physically inside the same broker account.
Past results, backtests or monitoring accounts do not guarantee future performance.
Testing the EA in the Strategy Tester and on a demo account is strongly recommended before using real capital.
