SetSizer is a visual Risk & Position Manager for MetaTrader 5.
Choose how much you want to risk, place Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit directly on the chart, and SetSizer calculates the broker-valid lot size, Actual Risk, Risk-to-Reward ratio and potential TP reward before you place the trade.
Three simple sizing modes:
Risk % — risk a percentage of current Equity
Risk Amount — risk a specific amount of account currency
Lot Size — use an exact trade volume

Quick Start
- Attach SetSizer to the chart you want to trade.
- Select BUY or SELL.
- Choose one of the three Sizing Modes: Risk %, Risk Amount, or Lot Size.
- Set or drag the Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit levels on the chart.
- Check Actual Risk, calculated Lot Size, R:R, and TP Reward.
- Review the setup before placing the trade.
- Click PLACE BUY or PLACE SELL when ready.

Sizing Modes
Risk %
Enter the percentage of your current account Equity that you want to risk.
Example:
Equity: USD 10,000
Risk %: 1.00
SetSizer will aim to size the position so the planned loss at Stop Loss is approximately 1% of current Equity.
Moving the Stop Loss farther away normally reduces the calculated lot size. Moving it closer normally increases the calculated lot size.
Risk Amount
Enter the amount of money you want to risk in your account currency.
Example:
Risk Amount: USD 25.00
SetSizer calculates a broker-valid lot size based on the distance between Entry and Stop Loss.
The displayed currency automatically follows the account currency. For example, a USD account displays USD while a EUR account uses EUR.
Lot Size
Use this mode when you already know the exact trading volume you want.
Example:
Lot Size: 0.01
SetSizer keeps the selected lot size and calculates the Actual Risk produced by that position and Stop Loss distance.
Actual Risk
Actual Risk is one of the most important values in SetSizer.
The risk you request and the risk that can actually be traded may sometimes differ because brokers allow specific minimum lots and volume steps.
For example, you may request USD 10 of risk, but the broker-valid position could result in:
Actual Risk: USD 9.72
Always review Actual Risk before placing an order.
If the requested risk requires a position smaller than the broker permits, SetSizer will warn you instead of pretending that the requested position can be traded.
Risk-to-Reward Ratio
SetSizer automatically calculates the relationship between your planned risk and potential reward.
For example:
R:R 1 : 1 - reward is approximately equal to risk
R:R 1 : 2 - potential reward is approximately twice the risk
R:R 1 : 3 - potential reward is approximately three times the risk
The ratio changes automatically as Entry, Stop Loss, or Take Profit is adjusted.
Visual Trade Planning
Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit are displayed directly on the chart.
The visual risk and reward areas make it easier to understand the structure of the planned trade without performing manual calculations.
Chart labels display useful information such as Entry, SL distance, TP reward, and R:R while keeping the chart as clean as possible.
Market and Pending Orders
SetSizer supports planning and placing market and pending orders.
For market orders, the appropriate live market price is used internally.
For pending orders, the Entry level can be positioned at the desired price before placing the order.
Broker minimum-distance and trading restrictions still apply.
Equity-Based Risk
Percentage risk is based on current Equity rather than only account Balance.
Equity reflects the current account value including floating profit or loss and provides a more current reference for percentage-based position sizing.
Broker-Adaptive Calculations
SetSizer reads information supplied by the current MT5 broker, including symbol price precision, point size, minimum and maximum volume, volume step, stop restrictions, account currency, and other symbol specifications.
This helps SetSizer adapt to different brokers and instruments without assuming that every Forex pair, Gold contract, or Crypto CFD has identical specifications.
Contract sizes and trading conditions can vary between brokers, especially for Gold and Crypto.
Risk Warnings
SetSizer uses visual warnings to make unusually high risk easier to notice.
Green indicates a lower risk level.
Amber indicates caution.
Red indicates high risk.
These colors are informational only. The trader remains responsible for deciding how much risk is appropriate.
SetSizer can also warn when the requested risk is below the broker's minimum executable position size or when margin conditions prevent the planned order.
Built-In Quick Help
SetSizer includes a Quick Help window inside the application.
New users can open it directly from the panel to learn the basic workflow and understand:

This allows beginners to learn the main functions without leaving the chart.
Installation
After purchasing or downloading SetSizer from the MQL5 Market:
- Install the product through MetaTrader 5.
- Open the chart you want to trade.
- Drag SetSizer from Navigator > Expert Advisors onto the chart.
- Allow algorithmic trading if you want SetSizer to place orders.
- Make sure the Algo Trading button in MetaTrader 5 is enabled.
- Choose your sizing method and begin planning the trade.
A demo account is recommended when learning the interface for the first time.
Important Notes
SetSizer is a trade-planning, risk-management, position-sizing, and execution utility. It does not provide trading signals and does not predict market direction.
Calculated risk and reward values are estimates based on information available from MetaTrader 5 and the broker.
Actual trading results may differ due to spread, commission, slippage, price gaps, swaps, execution conditions, broker rules, market volatility, or other trading costs.
A Stop Loss does not guarantee that a position will always be closed at the exact requested price, particularly during fast markets or price gaps.
Users should always review all trade parameters before execution.
