Golden Lion Tamarin EA is an EURUSD H1 basket system with a fixed lot ladder and a minimum waiting time between legs.
How it works
- First leg: MACD (12/26/9) timing on a new 6-bar extreme, filtered by the Ichimoku cloud trend.
- Additional legs: predefined lot ladder, at least 3 H1 bars apart and only against the basket, up to 19 legs per side.
- The basket closes when profit plus swap reaches 10 USD (scaled with the lot).
- Optional basket stop in % of balance; equity guard and order-failure cooldown.
- Lot can be fixed (default 0.01) or scaled by balance (InpBalancePerUnit).
Backtest (see the first screenshot: equity curve of the best backtest)
EURUSD H1, real ticks, 2025.01 - 2026.11, deposit 10,000 USD, 1:500, InpBalancePerUnit=2000 (0.01 lot per 2,000 USD):
net profit +29,290 USD, maximum equity drawdown 27.7%, no failed orders. The account never blew up during the test. The built-in margin guard InpMaxMarginPct (default 30% of equity) was added after this test and limits this aggressive lot setting; set it to 0 to reproduce the test exactly.
With the default fixed 0.01 lot the same period gives +2,892 USD with only 4.4% equity drawdown.
Recommendations
- Symbol: EURUSD, timeframe H1, hedging account.
- Recommended minimum deposit: 2,000 USD for fixed 0.01 lot. The 0.01-per-2,000 USD scaling shown in the backtest is aggressive; 0.01 per 3,000-5,000 USD is more conservative.
- Averaging strategy without a hard stop by default: enable the basket stop if you need a hard loss limit, and scale lots conservatively.
