Lazy Goose

Lazy Goose — AUDCAD H1 Expert Advisor

Simple strategy. Automated trading. More than one year of live signal history.

Lazy Goose is a fully automated Expert Advisor developed specifically for AUDCAD on the H1 timeframe.

The EA does not rely on artificial intelligence, machine learning or complicated marketing concepts. Lazy Goose uses a systematic trading approach based on classical technical analysis combined with a carefully configured grid-based trading algorithm with martingale position sizing.

The idea behind Lazy Goose is simple:

Choose an appropriate risk level, let the EA trade, and avoid unnecessary manual intervention.

Live Signal

More Than a Backtest

One of the most important features of Lazy Goose is its real trading history.

The strategy has been running on a public Live Signal for more than one year. At the time of publication, the signal has reached 54 weeks of live trading history.

Platform Growth: +127%

Total Profit: $1,006+

Total Deposited: $1,000 ($500 + $500)

Total Withdrawn: $1,469

Current Equity: $535+

Maximum Drawdown: 53%

Maximum Deposit Load: 21.5%

Algo Trading: 99%

This means that approximately $1,469 has already been withdrawn from $1,000 of total deposited capital, while more than $500 remains in the trading account.

The Live Signal uses an aggressive configuration. For new users, lower-risk settings are available and should be considered according to individual risk tolerance.

Three Risk Profiles

Lazy Goose can be used with different AutoLot settings.

CONSERVATIVE — AutoLot 0.10

Historical backtest: approximately +60%

Maximum Equity Drawdown: 25.23%

Profit Factor: 2.43

BALANCED — AutoLot 0.20

Historical backtest: approximately +193%

Maximum Equity Drawdown: 67.28%

Profit Factor: 2.46

AGGRESSIVE — AutoLot 0.25

Historical backtest: approximately +288%

Maximum Equity Drawdown: 60.67%

Profit Factor: 2.53

All three tests were performed with an initial deposit of $1,000 and produced 305 trades over the tested period.

The provided backtests are intended to demonstrate how different money-management settings can affect both potential return and drawdown. They should not be interpreted as expected future performance.

How Lazy Goose Trades

Lazy Goose is a grid-based Expert Advisor.

The algorithm analyzes AUDCAD and manages a sequence of positions according to predefined trading rules. Position sizing can be automatically adjusted according to account size through the AutoLot system.

There is no AI, no machine learning and no manual trading required.

The strategy was designed around one specific market and timeframe rather than attempting to trade every available instrument.

Currency Pair: AUDCAD

Timeframe: H1

Platform: MetaTrader 5

Strategy: Grid-based automated trading

Money Management: AutoLot / Fixed Lot

Recommended Minimum Capital: $1,000

Reference Leverage: 1:500

VPS: Recommended

Important Information About Risk

Lazy Goose uses a grid-based trading algorithm.

Grid strategies can generate attractive and relatively smooth returns under normal market conditions, but they also carry a specific and important risk: during strong and prolonged one-directional market movements, several positions may remain open simultaneously, which can result in significant floating drawdown.

This is not a risk we want to hide.

For this reason, we strongly recommend:

·       Choose the AutoLot risk level carefully.

·       Start with the Conservative configuration if you are unfamiliar with grid trading.

·       Avoid unnecessary increases in trading capital simply to increase position sizes.

·       Withdraw profits regularly rather than continuously compounding the entire account.

·       Maintain sufficient free margin.

·       Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

Our Approach: Protect the Capital, Withdraw the Profit

Lazy Goose was not designed around the idea of endlessly compounding an account.

Our preferred approach is to periodically withdraw accumulated profits, reducing the amount of capital exposed to future market risk.

The Live Signal illustrates this approach particularly well: approximately $1,000 was deposited in total, $1,469 has already been withdrawn, and more than $500 of equity remains in the account.

In other words, profit withdrawal is not just a theoretical recommendation — it is part of the way we use Lazy Goose ourselves.

Past performance does not guarantee future results. Withdrawals and risk-management practices cannot eliminate the possibility of substantial losses.
