Gold Hybrid Engine

Gold Hybrid Engine is an Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (gold). It combines an adaptive grid, soft lot progression, an automatic hedge and a basket recovery engine that closes losing positions against winning ones. Everything is managed as one basket and monitored through a built-in control-center dashboard.

The EA is designed for traders who understand grid trading and want a structured, transparent way to run it with several layers of protection.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Initial entry – the EA opens a BUY and a SELL (or only one side, depending on Entry Mode) at market.
2. Adaptive grid – if price moves against a side by one grid step, a new position is added on that side. In Hybrid mode the step combines your base step, the current M1 ATR and the spread, and stays between a minimum and a maximum distance.
3. Soft martingale – each new grid level can be slightly larger than the previous one. Four progression modes: Linear, Geometric, Soft (multiplier shrinks with every level) and Sequence. Every lot is capped by Max Lot and Max Lots per Side.
4. Basket exit – all positions are treated as one basket. When the basket reaches the profit target (fixed amount, % of balance, or ATR-based), the trailing lock follows the profit and closes the whole basket when it pulls back by the trail step.
5. Recovery engine
   • Winner + Loser Pairing: the best winning position is closed together with the oldest (or worst) losing position when the pair's combined result is above your minimum.
   • Profit Offset: a strong winner pays for the worst loser in one step.
6. Smart hedge – when one side becomes heavy (more than twice the opposite volume with at least 3 positions) and price moves beyond the trigger distance, or that side's floating loss exceeds $50, the EA opens a proportional counter-position (Hedge Ratio). Hedge positions and hedge volume are capped. Requires a hedging account.

PROTECTION LAYERS

• Defensive mode: at the equity drawdown or margin usage limit, new grid levels and hedges are frozen while the recovery engine keeps working.
• Emergency stop: at the hard equity drawdown limit all EA positions are closed.
• Daily loss limit: trading stops for the rest of the day.
• Exposure caps: max positions in total, per side, lots per side and lot per order.
• Spread and volatility filters: no new levels during wide spreads, ATR spikes or large M1 candles.
• Order pacing: minimum seconds between orders and maximum actions per minute.
• Session filter: optional trading hours with a Friday cut-off.
• Pre-send check: orders the account cannot afford, or that the symbol does not accept, are skipped instead of being sent.
• Restart safe: open positions are found again after a restart, reconnect or timeframe change.

• Market regime, recovery status and hedge status at a glance
• BUY and SELL cards: positions, lots, average price, floating P/L, next grid level, distance and next lot

• Basket target progress and trailing lock level
• Risk monitor: equity drawdown, peak drawdown, daily loss and margin usage against your limits
• Tabs for Market, Recovery, Hedge, System (engine status and today's statistics) and Activity (latest EA actions)
• Buttons: pause new entries (two-click confirmation), grid map, labels, compact view and hide

On the chart, the grid map shows every position level, average price zones, the next grid levels, the basket target and break-even, the recovery zone, defensive and emergency levels, a price marker and trade markers. The dashboard docks on the right side of the chart so it does not cover candles. An optional dark chart theme is applied, and your original chart settings are restored when the EA is removed.

All dashboard values are calculated from your account and open positions. Nothing is simulated.

RECOMMENDATIONS

• Symbol: XAUUSD. Point-based defaults assume a 2-digit gold quote (1 point = 0.01). If your broker quotes gold with 3 digits, multiply the point inputs (grid step, grid distances, spread, candle spike, hedge distance, zone width) by 10.
• Chart: any timeframe (the engine uses M1 ATR internally). M1 or M5 is recommended for the chart view.
• Account: hedging account (the hedge engine is disabled on netting accounts).
• Broker and hosting: low spread and a VPS for uninterrupted operation.
• Capital: the auto-lot default uses 0.01 lot per $2,000 of balance. Use that as a starting point and adjust it to your own risk tolerance.
• Run the EA on a demo account and in the Strategy Tester before trading live.

A default preset file with all of these values is available.

RISK WARNING

Grid and martingale strategies add positions while price moves against them. A strong one-directional move can produce a large drawdown, and the protection layers limit that risk but cannot remove it. Past results, including backtests, do not guarantee future results. Trade only with money you can afford to lose, and always test on a demo account first.
