GoldApex Pro — Automated XAUUSD Trading for MetaTrader 5
GoldApex Pro is a fully automated Expert Advisor developed specifically for Gold / XAUUSD.

A setup must satisfy the internal validation rules before an order is allowed.
This means that GoldApex may remain inactive when market conditions do not meet its criteria. A day without a trade is normal behavior and does not mean that the EA has stopped working.

Three Trading Modes
GoldApex includes three trading profiles for different approaches to XAUUSD.
Balanced
The main all-round configuration. It was selected after the final validation process for its combination of trading activity, historical return and controlled drawdown.
Target risk: approximately 0.50% per trade.
Conservative
Designed for lower exposure and traders who give greater priority to drawdown control.
Target risk: approximately 0.35% per trade.
Scalping
A higher-activity configuration for traders who prefer greater trade frequency and accept higher historical variability.
Target risk: approximately 0.40% per trade.
Changing the trading mode changes the behavior and risk profile of the system. Backtest results from one mode should not be assumed for another.

The following figures are historical MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester results and are not live trading results.

These statistics describe this specific historical test configuration. Different broker conditions, spreads, slippage and future market behavior can produce different results.
Out-of-Sample Validation
GoldApex was not selected simply by taking the parameter combination with the highest optimization result.
A separate 2026 out-of-sample test was used to compare the optimized candidate against the base configuration.
The optimized candidate showed stronger figures during optimization, but performed worse than the base configuration outside the optimization sample.
The optimized candidate was therefore rejected.
The selected BASE configuration produced in the 2026 out-of-sample test:

This validation step was used to reduce dependence on a single optimized historical period.
High-Activity Historical Test
For users interested in trading frequency, GoldApex also includes the Scalping mode.
Historical Real Ticks validation of the Scalping configuration produced:

These are Strategy Tester results, not live results. The higher trading frequency also produced greater historical variability than Balanced mode.
Designed for Gold Broker Differences
Gold specifications vary significantly between brokers.
GoldApex reads important trading properties directly from the broker environment and is designed to handle common Gold symbol formats such as:

and compatible broker suffix variations.
The execution layer checks symbol properties including tick size, volume limits, volume step, contract specifications and trading restrictions before sending orders.
This is particularly important on Gold, where specifications can differ substantially from one broker to another.
