Ziu Institutional is an automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that operates exclusively on XAUUSD (Gold) on the 1-minute timeframe. The strategy is fully intraday and runs a single evaluation per day at 9:48 New York time. After the entry, the position is managed with partial Take Profits, break-even, protective trailing, and forced close before the end of the NY session.
The decision engine combines several market-structure scenarios computed at 9:47 NY: sweeps of the London range, Fibonacci levels on macro, micro and session ranges, Fair Value Gaps from H4, H1 and M5, the previous H1 and H4 candles, and structural M5 patterns. The selected scenario determines direction, entry price and structural stop loss.
KEY FEATURES
Intraday strategy. The system evaluates the market once per day at 9:48 New York time and opens a single position. If that position is stopped out, a second entry may be taken, with execution no later than 10:10 New York time. A maximum of two trades per day. No overnight risk: any open position is forcibly closed before 16:00 New York time.
Three risk sizing modes. Fixed lot, fixed dollar risk per trade, or percentage of balance per trade. The operator chooses how to size risk.
Lot adapted to the SL. In risk modes, the lot is computed from the structural stop loss of the day, keeping the target dollar risk constant across all trades.
Up to four Take Profits. Configurable lot percentage and R multiple per TP. Default configuration: 2 TPs at 75 and 25 percent, with TP1 at 1R and TP2 at 2R.
Automatic break-even. When TP1 is hit, the stop loss moves to the entry price. Alternative mode available: move SL to entry after X pips of gain.
Protective trailing. After hitting TP1, when the price advances X percent of the TP1-to-last-TP segment, the SL moves up to TP1, locking in a 1R gain on the runner.
Configuration validator. If inputs are inconsistent, for example TP percentages not adding up to 100 or risk values that are zero, the bot pauses and displays a banner on the chart. Once the operator fixes the inputs, the bot resumes automatically.
External-close reconciliation. If the broker closes the position via its visible SL or TP, the bot detects the close, records it, and releases its internal state for the next day.
Pre-trade margin check. Before each opening, the bot calculates the required margin and compares it with the available free margin. If insufficient, the bot does not open and logs the reason.
Stops-level verification. If the SL would be closer to price than the broker minimum, the bot expands the SL to the smallest allowed distance.
Late-start protection. If MetaTrader is opened after 9:47 New York time, the bot does not trade that day. This avoids entering at a price different from the validated one.

REQUIREMENTS
MetaTrader 5 platform, hedging or netting account.
Symbol XAUUSD (Gold). The bot does not operate on any other symbol.
1-minute timeframe (M1). The bot does not operate on any other timeframe.
Broker allowing stop loss of at least 100 pips on XAUUSD.
Minimum recommended balance: 200 USD to start with 1 percent risk mode. 500 to 1000 USD recommended for greater flexibility on trades with larger SL.
VPS running 24 hours, 5 days a week, strongly recommended. If trading from a personal PC, every shutdown or restart will skip that day's trade.
RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION BY ACCOUNT SIZE
Account 200 to 500 USD. Mode 2 (percentage of balance). 1 percent risk. Daily lot will hover near the broker minimum (0.01) on large SLs and increase slightly on tighter SLs. Workable but tight.
Account 500 to 2000 USD. Mode 2. Risk between 1 and 2 percent depending on tolerance. Lots will range naturally between 0.02 and 0.10 depending on the SL.
Account 2000 USD or more. Mode 2 with risk between 1 and 3 percent, or mode 1 with a fixed dollar amount per trade. Comfortable lot sizing across all SL scenarios.
To reproduce the backtest configuration exactly, use mode 0 (fixed lot) with position units 33 and lot per unit 0.01, which equals 0.33 lots on every trade.
INPUT PARAMETERS
Operational
Use Magic Number. Enables the EA tag on orders. Default: true. Always recommended to leave true.
Magic Number. Unique EA identifier. Default: 948948. Change only when running more than one instance on the same account.
Time / Broker
Server-GMT offset (hours). Difference between the broker server clock and GMT, in hours. Default: -99 (autodetect). Set manually only if the bot trades at incorrect times in demo.
Late start tolerance (min). Tolerance in minutes if MetaTrader opens after 9:47 NY. Default: 0 (strict). With 0, if the setup time is missed, the bot does not trade that day. Raise to 1 or 2 to forgive small connection drops.
Risk / Sizing
Mode. Sizing mode. 0 fixed lot, 1 dollars per trade, 2 percent of balance. Default: 2.
(mode 2) percent of balance. Percentage of balance to risk per trade. Default: 1.
Example: with a 1000 USD balance and a 200-pip SL, the computed lot is 0.05 (risk 10 USD).
Example: with a 1000 USD balance and a 100-pip SL, the computed lot is 0.10 (risk 10 USD).
(mode 1) dollars to risk. Fixed dollar amount per trade. Default: 200. Works regardless of balance.
Example: with 200 USD risk and a 200-pip SL, the lot is 1.00.
(mode 0) position units total. Number of units when trading with fixed lot. Default: 33.
Example: 33 units multiplied by 0.01 lot per unit equals 0.33 lot.
(mode 0) lot per unit. Size of one unit in MT5 lots. Default: 0.01.
Safety cap maximum lot. Absolute cap on lot size per trade. Default: 5.0. Even if the risk math requests more, the bot never opens above this cap.
Take Profits
Active TPs. Number of active TPs from 1 to 4. Default: 2.
Percent to close at TP1, TP2, TP3, TP4. Percentage of the lot to close at each TP. Active percentages must add up to 100. Defaults: 75 at TP1 and 25 at TP2.
After hitting TP1, percent of TP1 to last TP. Once TP1 is hit, when price advances this percentage of the segment between TP1 and the last active TP, the SL moves to TP1. Default: 70.
Example with TP1 at 4020 and TP2 at 4040: the SL moves to 4020 when price reaches 4034 (70 percent of the segment).
Break-even
BE. Break-even mode. 0 off, 1 move SL to entry on TP1 hit, 2 move SL to entry after X pips of gain. Default: 1.
(mode 2) Pips in favor to move BE. Gain in pips required to trigger break-even in mode 2. Default: 150.
End of Day close (NY)
Close the position before NY end. Activates the forced close before the end of the NY session. Default: true. Strongly recommended to keep enabled.
Minutes before 16:00 NY. Minutes before 16:00 NY at which the close runs. Default: 10, equivalent to closing at 15:50 NY.
Structural SL / TP
Minimum SL pips. Minimum allowed stop loss in pips. Default: 100.
Maximum SL pips. Maximum allowed stop loss in pips. Default: 200.
Long SL pips. Extended stop loss for setups that justify a wider distance. Default: 220.
TP1, TP2, TP3, TP4 = N x R. Position of each TP as a multiple of R, where R is the SL distance. Defaults: 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Example: with entry at 4000 and SL at 3980, R is 20. TP1 is at 4020 (1R), TP2 at 4040 (2R), TP3 at 4060 (3R) and TP4 at 4080 (4R).
VALIDATION AND SAFETY
Before each opening, the bot runs pre-trade checks. If any check fails, the trade is not opened and the reason is logged in the Experts tab:
- Sufficient free margin for the computed lot.
- SL distance respecting the broker stops level.
- Lot within the symbol volume limits.
During the trade, the bot periodically syncs its internal SL and TP with the broker. If an external close is detected, the internal state is released automatically so future trades are not affected.
If the input configuration is inconsistent, the bot does not trade and shows a clear message on the chart until the operator corrects the values.
HOW TO VERIFY THE VERSION
When the bot is loaded on a chart, the Experts tab of the MetaTrader 5 client will show a line similar to the following, confirming the correct version and build:
