Save and restore your chart workspace automatically. | User Manual
1. Overview
AutoLineSaver automatically saves every line you draw on the chart and restores them the next time you open it.
No more redrawing your analysis from scratch. Drop AutoLineSaver onto your chart once, and your workspace is always preserved.
What it saves:
• Horizontal lines
• Trendlines
• Rays (extended trendlines)
• Vertical lines
• Rectangles
• Fibonacci retracements
How it works:
• Lines are saved automatically whenever you draw, move, edit, or delete an object.
• When you reattach the indicator or reopen the chart, all saved lines are restored instantly.
• Press R on the keyboard to manually reload saved lines at any time.
Save data is stored per symbol in MT4's data folder as LS_ALL_[Symbol].txt.
2. Typical Workflow
Step 1 Find signals with 448 Scanner
The panel highlights a cell when a signal is detected.
Step 2 Open chart with one click
Click the timeframe label in the panel to open a new chart
for that symbol and timeframe instantly.
Step 3 Draw your analysis lines
Analyze the chart and draw your trendlines or key levels.
AutoLineSaver saves everything automatically as you draw.
Step 4 Restore your chart workspace anytime with AutoLineSaver for 448
Press R to reload, or simply reattach the indicator.
All your lines come back exactly as you left them.
3. Installation
1. Copy AutoLineSaver.ex4 to your MT4 MQL4/Indicators/ folder.
2. Restart MetaTrader 4, or press F5 in MetaEditor to refresh.
3. Attach the indicator to the chart you want to save lines on.
No additional files required.
4. Parameters
Save ON/OFF
bSave true Master switch. Set to false to disable all saving.
Object Type Selection
Save_HorizontalLine true Save and restore horizontal lines.
Save_TrendLine true Save and restore trendlines.
Save_Ray true Save and restore rays (extended trendlines).
Save_VerticalLine true Save and restore vertical lines.
Save_Rectangle true Save and restore rectangles.
Save_Fibo true Save and restore Fibonacci retracements.
Auto Save
AutoSave_OnChange true Automatically save whenever an object is
created, modified, moved, or deleted.
Set to false to save only when the indicator
is removed from the chart.
5. Keyboard Shortcut
R key Reload all saved lines from the save file.
Use this to restore lines after manually clearing the chart,
or to sync lines when switching between charts.
6. Notes
• Save data is stored per symbol. Lines drawn on EURUSD are saved separately from GBPUSD.
• Lines are saved in: MT4 data folder /Files/LS_ALL_[Symbol].txt
• Objects created by other indicators (IFVG zones, etc.) are automatically excluded from saving.
• All line properties are preserved: color, style, width, price level, and description text.
