Expansion Limits
Expansion Limits is a powerful multi-timeframe indicator that automatically draws dynamic support, resistance, and expansion levels based on higher timeframe price action.
How It Works
The indicator takes the high and low from a selected higher timeframe (default H4) and calculates 11 strategic levels:
HTF High – The high price from the higher timeframe
HTF Median – The exact midpoint between high and low
HTF Low – The low price from the higher timeframe
4 Upper Expansion Levels – Progressive resistance zones above the median
4 Lower Expansion Levels – Progressive support zones below the median
Key Features
Multi-timeframe analysis – Works on any chart timeframe (must be equal or lower than the selected HTF)
Dynamic levels – All lines update automatically with each new higher timeframe bar
Visual labels – Clear text labels appear at the current bar showing all levels: HTF High, HTF Med, HTF Low, Res 1-4, and Supp 1-4
Customizable appearance – Choose font type and size for the labels
Color-coded lines – Red for resistance, LimeGreen for support, Dodger Blue for median
Progressive thickness – Higher levels have thicker lines for easy visual reference
How to Use
Mean reversion trading – Look for price reactions at the median line
Breakout trading – Watch for price closing beyond Pos 3 or Neg 3 levels
Expansion targets – Use Pos 4 and Neg 4 as extreme extension targets
Support/Resistance zones – Each level acts as potential reversal or continuation zones
