Stop wasting time digging through MT4/MT5 account statements to understand how your trading is performing. The Trading Stats Indicator puts every number you need — Win Rate, Avg Profit, Avg Loss, Risk:Reward Ratio, Expected Value, and Total Profit — right on the chart, updated live with every tick.
Why Trading Stats Exists?
Every serious trader eventually asks the same questions at the end of a session: How many trades did I take today? What was my average winner versus my average loser? Do I actually have a statistical edge? Getting those answers normally means exporting a full account statement, opening a spreadsheet, writing formulas — or trusting your memory, which is the worst option of all. The Trading Stats Indicator eliminates all of that friction. It hooks directly into MetaTrader's closed-trade history, filters by the period and asset scope you choose, and displays a colour-coded panel on the chart in real time. You see your numbers the moment a trade closes — no exports, no spreadsheets, no guesswork. Beyond convenience, the indicator surfaces two metrics that most traders never calculate manually: the Average Risk:Reward Ratio and the Expected Value per trade. These two numbers together tell you whether your strategy is mathematically viable over the long run — not just whether you had a good day.
Panel Overview
Once attached, the indicator draws a dark floating panel with several rows of information. The panel is fully non-interactive — it does not block clicks on the chart. Here is the row layout:

11 Total Profit - Sum of all net P&L for the period and scope selected
Metrics Explained
Win Rate: The percentage of closed trades that produced a net profit. Calculated as (Winning Trades / Total Trades) × 100. A high win rate is not by itself a sign of profitability — it must be read alongside the Risk:Reward ratio and Expected Value.
Avg Profit & Avg Loss Avg Profit is the arithmetic mean of the net P&L of all winning trades. Avg Loss is the arithmetic mean of the net P&L of all losing trades and will always be a negative number. Both figures include swap and commission so they represent the true dollar impact on your account balance.
Average Risk:Reward Ratio Calculated as Avg Profit ÷ |Avg Loss|. A ratio of 2.00 : 1 means that, on average, your winners deliver twice as much as your losers cost. This number is independent of win rate — a strategy with a 40% win rate and a 2.5 : 1 RR can be highly profitable, while a 70% win rate with a 0.5 : 1 RR can be a losing strategy. The indicator displays N/A when there are no losing trades in the selected period.
Expected Value (EV): The Expected Value is the single most important number for assessing whether a strategy has a mathematical edge. It answers: "On average, how much do I make or lose per trade?" Formula: EV = (Win Rate % × Avg Profit) + (Loss Rate % × Avg Loss) A positive EV (shown in green) means your strategy earns money on average over a large sample — you have an edge. A negative EV (shown in red) means the strategy loses money on average regardless of short-term luck. An EV near zero indicates a break-even system that is very sensitive to transaction costs.
Total Profit: The net sum of all closed trade P&L (profit + swap + commission) for the currently selected period and asset scope, expressed in your account currency. Positive values are shown in yellow; negative values switch to red as a visual warning.
Period Settings
Use the Statistics Period input to choose which window of history the indicator analyses. All period boundaries are based on the broker server time.
Today. Midnight server time (00:00) of the current day. Daily performance review
This Week. Monday 00:00 of the current calendar week. Weekly reporting
This Month. 1st of the current month at 00:00. Monthly review / targets
All Time. The very first trade in the account history. Overall strategy assessment
Custom. Backtesting a specific date range
Asset Scope
Current Chart Symbol Only. Only trades whose symbol matches the chart symbol are included. Symbol-specific stats — e.g. how EURUSD is perform
All Account Assets. Every closed trade across all symbols is counted in the stats. Overall account performance
Multiple Instances on the Same Chart
You can attach the indicator more than once to the same chart — for example, one showing Today / Current Symbol and another showing This Month / All Assets side by side. To prevent the two panels from conflicting, each instance must have a different Unique ID.
Setup example:
• Instance 1 — Unique ID = "TS1", Panel Corner = Top Left, Period = Today, Asset = Current Symbol
• Instance 2 — Unique ID = "TS2", Panel Corner = Top Right, Period = This Month, Asset = All Assets
Tip: Use the X Offset / Y Offset inputs to fine-tune panel positions so they don't overlap other chart objects or indicator windows.
Troubleshooting
Q: All values show 0 or N/A
A: The selected period may contain no closed trades. Try switching to All Time to confirm history is available.
Q: Two instances overlap
A: Assign a different Unique ID to each instance and adjust Panel Corner, or use X Offset, and Y Offset so the panels are in different positions.
Q: Text is clipped or runs outside the panel
A: Increase Panel Width or reduce Font Size. Long symbol names (e.g. custom CFD names) may require a wider panel.
Q: Avg RR Ratio shows N/A
A: There are no losing trades in the selected period. Once the first losing trade closes, the ratio will calculate automatically.
