Price Action Scanner PRO

Price Action Scanner PRO is a multi-symbol and multi-timeframe candlestick pattern scanner for MetaTrader 4.

The indicator helps traders save time by monitoring multiple instruments and identifying recent Price Action formations from a single chart. Detected patterns are displayed in a compact dashboard, with direct navigation to the corresponding signal candles.

Supported Price Action Patterns

The scanner detects five candlestick formations:

  • Pin Bar — bullish and bearish candles with a prominent shadow relative to the candle body.

  • PPR (Pivot Point Reversal) — three-candle reversal formations based on candle direction, price extremes and closing conditions.

  • Engulfing — bullish and bearish formations where the signal candle engulfs the previous candle's body and exceeds both price extremes.

  • Fakey — false breakouts where price moves beyond a selected boundary by a configured distance and closes back across that boundary.

  • Inside Bar — candles whose price range remains within the range of the previous mother candle.

Each pattern can be enabled or disabled independently. Additional detection parameters are available for Pin Bar, Fakey and Inside Bar.

Multi-Symbol and Multi-Timeframe Scanning

Monitor multiple markets without opening a separate chart for every instrument.

The scanner supports symbols from Market Watch or a custom symbol list, including broker-specific symbol names.

All nine standard MT4 timeframes are available: M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1 and MN1.

By default, H1, H4 and D1 are enabled. With the default limit of 20 instruments, the indicator can monitor up to 60 symbol-timeframe combinations.

Interactive Dashboard

The compact dashboard provides two main views.

Market Scanner displays monitored instruments and timeframes in a table, showing recent confirmed patterns, their direction and age in bars.

Switch between Active Only, which displays instruments with recent signals, and All Symbols, which shows every monitored instrument.

Active Signals provides a detailed list of detected formations, including the symbol, timeframe, pattern, direction, candle time and signal age.

By default, only signals from the last three closed candles are displayed. The maximum signal age is adjustable.

One-Click Chart Navigation

Click a detected signal to open or reuse the corresponding symbol and timeframe chart.

When the required historical data is available, the scanner navigates to the signal candle and highlights it with a directional arrow and pattern label.

BUY signals are marked in green, while SELL signals are marked in red. Patterns detected on the same candle and in the same direction can be displayed with a combined label.

An optional setting allows users to apply their own MT4 chart template when opening signal charts.

Alerts and Forming Signals

The indicator supports three notification methods:

  • Popup alerts in MetaTrader 4.

  • Push notifications to the MetaTrader mobile application.

  • Sound alerts.

Notification patterns and timeframes can be configured independently.

Alerts are generated for eligible new confirmed signals on the latest closed candle. Historical signals loaded during initialization or recovery do not generate notifications. Duplicate prevention and grouping of matching patterns are supported.

An optional Forming Signals mode displays preliminary Pin Bar, PPR and Engulfing formations on the currently developing candle.

Forming signals appear in Active Signals, may change or disappear before candle closure, and do not trigger notifications.

Fakey and Inside Bar are displayed only after confirmation. Market Scanner displays confirmed signals only.

Installation and Customization

Attach Price Action Scanner PRO to any MetaTrader 4 chart, select your instruments, timeframes and patterns, and allow the required market history to synchronize.

The indicator includes customizable settings for pattern detection, signal age, dashboard appearance, notifications, chart templates and scanning parameters.

No additional custom indicators or external libraries are required for normal operation.

Important Information

Price Action Scanner PRO is a technical analysis tool, not an automated trading system. It does not open, modify or close trades.

BUY and SELL labels represent directions assigned by the pattern detection rules and should not be interpreted as complete trading recommendations.

Detected patterns do not guarantee future price movements or profitable trades. Results may vary between brokers due to differences in price feeds, trading sessions and historical data.
