LX Baza Pro - XAUUSD H8 EMA crossover, low risk
STRATEGY
Works on XAUUSD H8. When a bar opens on one side of EMA(5, shift 6) and closes on the other side, the EA enters in the direction of the close (open below / close above = BUY, open above / close below = SELL). It exits on the opposite crossover. Optional D1 SMA(100) trend filter for new entries and optional Friday close.
RISK
- One position at a time. No grid, no martingale, no averaging down.
- Every trade has an emergency stop loss at 3% of the entry price.
- Lot size is calculated from the real stop distance, so a normal stop-out costs about the risk you set (default 0.5% of free margin).
- The lot is reduced automatically after consecutive losses.
- A drawdown guard stops new entries at 8% below the equity peak.
HONEST EXPECTATIONS
This is a low-risk, low-return EA. It is not designed to grow an account fast.
Long-horizon check on an independent test engine (core rule: EMA crossover + 3% stop, XAUUSD H8, 2003-2026, risk 0.5%):
- about 940 trades, average +0.04R per trade (R = the amount risked)
- positive in 18 of 24 calendar years
- total +22% over 23 years; maximum drawdown 2.9%
- last 5 years: +7.3%, maximum drawdown 1.8%
The edge is small. Spread, commission and slippage at your broker can reduce it or remove it. Please run the EA in the Strategy Tester with your broker's real-tick data before using it on a live account.
The stop loss is a normal stop, not a guaranteed one. On weekend or news gaps the price can jump past it, and a single trade can lose more than the risk you set.
