The EA arms two pending stop orders at an equal distance above and below the current price. Whichever side the market breaks first is triggered, and the opposite order is cancelled immediately. It does not predict direction. It lets the market choose the side.
The system combines symmetrical pending order placement, an automatic cancel-the-other mechanism, fixed Stop Loss and Take Profit, an average price trailing stop and a full set of execution controls. It waits for a real price expansion instead of opening trades continuously.

RECOMMENDED TRADING CONDITIONS
- TWIN TRIGGER MT5 places stop orders and is therefore sensitive to spread, slippage and the broker Stops Level. Broker conditions can have a significant impact on results.
- A Raw Spread or Raw ECN account is strongly recommended.
- All distances in this EA are expressed in points, not in pips. One point is the smallest price change of the symbol. On a 2-digit gold quote, 500 points equals 5.00 USD of price movement. On a 5-digit currency quote, 500 points equals 50 pips. Check the resulting distances on your own symbol before increasing volume.
- Run a MetaTrader 5 backtest using the Every tick based on real ticks model before increasing the trading volume. Results can differ between brokers because of spread, commission, symbol specifications, execution speed, liquidity and slippage.

The default distance, Stop Loss and Take Profit are sized for gold. On other instruments they must be adjusted before use.
For stable operation, MetaTrader 5 and Algo Trading must remain active. A VPS located close to the broker trading server is recommended.
POSITION SIZING
The volume of each new cycle is decided by the outcome of the previous one.
- After a profitable deal, when the account equity is at a new peak, the base lot is used.
- After a profitable deal, when equity is still below the previous peak, the same volume as the last deal is used again.
- After a losing deal, the volume of the last deal is multiplied by the martingale factor.
- When the configured number of consecutive losses is reached, the sequence restarts at the base lot.
The resulting volume is then validated against the symbol minimum, maximum and volume step, against the maximum lot input, against the symbol volume limit, and against the free margin available on the account.
RISK MANAGEMENT
TWIN TRIGGER MT5 uses martingale recovery. After a losing trade the next position size is multiplied by the martingale factor. The sequence stops when a trade closes in profit or when the maximum number of steps is reached, at which point the size returns to the base lot.
With the default settings on XAUUSD, a Stop Loss of 2000 points costs approximately 20 USD per 0.01 lot. A recovery sequence at the default multiplier of 2.0 therefore develops as follows:
- Loss 1: 0.01 lot, about 20 USD, cumulative 20 USD
- Loss 2: 0.02 lot, about 40 USD, cumulative 60 USD
- Loss 3: 0.04 lot, about 80 USD, cumulative 140 USD
- Loss 4: 0.08 lot, about 160 USD, cumulative 300 USD
- Loss 5: 0.16 lot, about 320 USD, cumulative 620 USD
- Loss 6: 0.32 lot, about 640 USD, cumulative 1260 USD
- Loss 7: 0.64 lot, about 1280 USD, cumulative 2540 USD
- Loss 8: 1.28 lot, about 2560 USD, cumulative 5100 USD
- The default limit of 99 recovery steps is far higher than any realistic account can support. The limit only decides when the sequence restarts at the base lot, and the EA does not stop itself before that point. You must therefore set the maximum number of steps to a value your balance can actually survive. A limit of 4 to 6 steps is a far more realistic starting point than the default.
- Set the martingale multiplier to 1.0 if you prefer flat position sizing with no recovery. Each loss then costs about 20 USD per 0.01 lot.
- A free margin limiter is applied before every order. By default, a single order may commit no more than 30 percent of the free margin. If the recovery sequence asks for a volume the account cannot carry, the volume is reduced to what the margin allows. This protects the account from rejected orders, but it also means the recovery will not follow the martingale progression exactly once the account reaches its margin ceiling.
- The default Take Profit is equal to the Stop Loss, so the strategy does not rely on an unusually high win rate to break even.
- The trailing stop is measured from the average entry price and never moves the Stop Loss backwards.
- Because both directions are armed at the same time, a sharp reversal immediately after a breakout can trigger one side and stop it out. Widening the pending order distance reduces the number of these events but also reduces the number of trades.
- New users should begin on a demo account or with 0.01 lot until they understand the EA trading frequency, execution behaviour and position management.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The EA does not guarantee profits. Historical tests and previous results do not guarantee future performance.
- Backtest results may differ from live trading because of spread, commission, latency, slippage, liquidity and broker execution.
- Martingale position sizing increases exposure after a loss. A sustained run of losing trades can consume a large part of an account, and in the worst case all of it. Trade only with money you can afford to lose.
- Always test the EA under your own broker conditions before increasing the lot size or risk.
