What it does
Gaucho Gold Scalper takes a first position (the seed) and, if price moves against that position, may add extra lots **in the same direction** up to a cap you set. When the basket is in profit it can close the whole basket. When the account hits your daily equity target it stops opening new seeds and protects open trades with a trailing stop.
It does **not** open an opposite hedge and it does **not** start a second grid.
**Use:** XAUUSD (or your broker’s gold symbol), **M1**, **hedging** account.
**Rule:** one Gaucho on that gold chart. Do not run another EA on the same symbol.
Times are **broker server time**, not your PC clock.

### Identity
**Label** (`InpLabel`)
Comment written on orders. Leave `GauchoGold` unless you run two copies. Each copy needs its own Label **and** Magic.
**Magic** (`InpMagic`)
ID that marks this EA’s trades. Must be unique on the account. Default `20260829`. If you attach a second copy, change Magic (example `20260830`).

### Volume and target
**Volume Lots** (`InpVolumeLots`)
Size of the **first** trade only. Start at broker minimum (often `0.01`). This is not the size of later grid lots (those use Grid 1 Volume).
**Daily Target Percent** (`InpDailyTargetPercent`)
When equity is this % above the cycle start, the daily target is hit. Default `1.0` = +1%. After that: **no new seeds**. Open trades get the trailing stop. Raise it (e.g. `1.5`) for a larger day; lower it (e.g. `0.5`) for more frequent lock-ins.
**Manual Equity Target** (`InpManualEquityTarget`)
`0` = auto (start equity × daily %).
A number (e.g. `1010`) = that equity **is** the target. Use this after a deposit/restart so a cash-in does not look like a winning day. Leave `0` for normal use.
**Trailing Stop Pips** (`InpTrailingStopPips`)
Distance of the trail **after** the daily target only. It does not trail during a normal scalp. `20` = 20 gold pips. `0` = no trail (not recommended). Bigger = more room, more give-back.
**Stop Loss Drawdown Percent** (`InpStopLossDrawdownPercent`)
Hard account brake vs cycle start equity. `100` = close everything if equity drops 100% (account-style stop). `20` = close all at −20%. `0` = off. This is the panic switch, not a per-trade SL.

### Signal (timing only — not the method)
These only change **how fast** entries and exits react. They do not describe the model. Leave defaults unless you know why you are changing them.
**Entry Signal Period** (`InpEntrySignalPeriod`)
Lower = faster first entries (more trades). Higher = slower, fewer seeds. Default `10`.
**Exit Signal Period** (`InpExitSignalPeriod`)
Lower = faster basket close. Higher = holds longer. Default `15`. If you tighten entry, do not forget exit or you will hold noise.
**Higher TF Signal Period** (`InpHigherTFSignalPeriod`)
Speed of the higher-timeframe check. Default `10`. Only matters if a higher-TF gate is ON.
**Higher TF Signal Timeframe** (`InpHigherTFSignalTimeframe`)
`M1` / `M5` / `M15`. Default `M15`. Used only when a higher-TF gate is ON.
**Higher TF Signal Mode** (`InpHigherTFSignalMode`)
`Entry` = higher TF must agree to open.
`Validation` = extra check, not the main trigger.
Default `Entry`.
**Attach Higher TF Signal To HTF Bars** (`InpAttachHigherTFSignalToHTFBars`)
`true` (default) = the higher-TF check is built on that higher TF. Leave ON. `false` is a compatibility switch; do not use it unless support tells you to.

### Grid
**ATR Period** (`InpATRPeriod`)
How many bars feed the **spacing** of extra lots (volatility). Default `3`. Lower = tighter adds. Higher = wider gaps between lots. This is distance between adds, not an entry trigger.
**Grid 1 Volume Lots** (`InpGrid1VolumeLots`)
Base size used to **calculate** extra lots (with the step settings below). Usually the same as Volume Lots (`0.01`).
**Grid 1 Spacing ATR Mult** (`InpGrid1SpacingATRMult`)
How far price must run against the last lot before another lot is allowed. Default `2.05`.
Lower (e.g. `1.5`) = denser grid, more lots, more margin.
Higher (e.g. `3`) = fewer, wider adds.
**Grid 1 Max Size** (`InpGrid1MaxSize`)
Maximum tickets in one basket including the seed. Default `8`. This is the hard cap. Lower = less risk, less recovery power.
**Grid 1 Scaling Start Level** (`InpGrid1ScalingStartLevel`)
From which ticket number the lot size starts stepping. Default `1` = stepping from the first extra lot. `3` = tickets 1–2 stay at base size, then step.
**Grid 1 Volume Step** (`InpGrid1VolumeStep`)
How much each extra lot grows after the start level. Default `0.01` → 0.01, 0.02, 0.03… until the second scaling level. `0` = all extra lots stay at base size.
**Grid 1 Second Scaling Level** (`InpGrid1SecondScalingLevel`)
Ticket number where the **second** step starts. Default `6`.
Set to `0` (or ≤ start level) = **no second ramp**; the first step keeps going for the whole grid.
**Grid 1 Second Volume Step** (`InpGrid1SecondVolumeStep`)
Step after that level.
`0` (default) = **stop increasing** (freeze at the size reached at that level).
Positive = keep growing.
Negative (e.g. `-0.01`) = **reduce** size after that level. Lots never go below broker minimum.
Example with defaults (start 1, step 0.01, second level 6, second step 0):
0.01 → 0.02 → 0.03 → 0.04 → 0.05 → **0.06 then freeze**.

### Pause and windows
**Pause Duration** (`InpPauseDuration`) + **Pause Unit** (`InpPauseUnit`)
After the daily target: how long before a **new** seed is allowed.
`0` = no extra wait (new cycle when flat and target is reset).
`Hours` or `Days`. Example: `1` + Days = rest until the next session window after a winning day.
**Trade Start / End Time** (`InpTradeStartTime` / `InpTradeEndTime`)
First session. Format `HH:MM`, server time. Default `00:00`–`23:59` (all day).
**Trade Start / End Time 2** and **3**
Two extra sessions. If you only need one window, copy the same times into 2 and 3 or keep them identical to window 1.
Windows are **OR**: a timestamp inside **any** window is allowed. Outside all three = no new seed (open baskets still manage).
**Trade On Mondays** (`InpTradeOnMondays`)
`true` = Monday seeds allowed. `false` = skip Monday opens (weekend gap). Default `true`.

### Gates (on/off filters)
All default **off** for the first trade except the higher-TF gate on extra lots. ON = stricter, fewer trades. OFF = more trades.
**Use Signal For Initial Trade** (`InpUseSignalForInitialTrade`)
ON = first lot must pass the entry check. OFF = first lot is less filtered.
**Use Higher TF Signal Initial** (`InpUseHigherTFSignalInitial`)
ON = first lot also needs higher-TF agreement.
**Use RSI For Initial Trade** (`InpUseRSIForInitialTrade`)
ON = first lot also needs the optional oscillator gate.
**Use Signal For Grid 1** (`InpUseSignalForGrid1`)
ON = extra lots must pass the entry check. OFF = extra lots only need spacing + direction.
**Use Higher TF Signal Grid 1** (`InpUseHigherTFSignalGrid1`)
ON (default) = extra lots need higher-TF agreement. OFF = denser grid.
**Use RSI For Grid 1** (`InpUseRSIForGrid1`)
ON = extra lots also need the oscillator gate.
**RSI Period** (`InpRSIPeriod`)
Only if an RSI gate is ON. Default `14`.
**RSI Overbought / Oversold** (`InpRSIOverbought` / `InpRSIOversold`)
Only if an RSI gate is ON. Extra-lot / first-lot filter bands. Do not treat these as “the strategy.”

### Safe first run
1. Hedging demo, gold M1, default Magic.
2. Volume Lots `0.01`, Max Size `8` or less.
3. Daily Target `1.0`, Trailing `20`.
4. Set your session windows in **server** time.
5. Do not attach Unicorn or any other EA on the same gold chart.
6. Change one group at a time: either windows, or grid spacing, or lot step — not all three.
