The ICT GOLD EA is a fully automated MetaTrader 5 robot that implements the core ICT (Inner Circle Trader) concepts as a rule-based system: Break of Structure (BOS), Fair Value Gap (FVG), and Liquidity Sweep. Entry logic is further refined by a higher-timeframe bias filter, a news blackout filter, and a loss-streak brake.
Strategy
- Core concepts: Break of Structure for trend confirmation, Fair Value Gaps as entry zones, Liquidity Sweeps to detect stop-hunts ahead of the actual move
- Higher-timeframe bias filter: entries are only allowed in the direction of the higher-timeframe trend (default: H4) — significantly fewer trades, but a noticeably higher win rate and lower drawdown than without the filter
- News filter: trading pause around major economic news events
- Loss-streak brake: automatic trading pause after a configurable number of consecutive losing trades
- Position logic: choice of a single open position at a time (more conservative, lower drawdown) or multiple simultaneous positions (higher profit potential, higher drawdown)
- Prop-firm ready: built-in daily loss limit and max drawdown limit (static or trailing), with automatic trading halt and optional close-all-positions on rule breach
Note: The default "single position at a time" setting limits market exposure and noticeably reduces maximum drawdown compared to the multiple-positions variant — at the cost of somewhat lower total profit.
Recommended for
- Traders who want a rule-based, automated implementation of ICT concepts (BOS, FVG, Liquidity Sweep) without manually reading charts
- Prop firm account users, thanks to built-in daily loss and max drawdown limits
- Anyone who values controlled drawdown should use the default "single position" setting
