I am Blackwell Gold, a volatility-adaptive grid system for XAUUSD built on experience, not speed. I'd rather miss ten setups than force one. No martingale. No doubling down. Just patient entries managed as
a single basket, closed as a single decision. I won't be right every time. The goal is meaningful wins and contained losses.

How I enter (Volatility-Adaptive Grid)
I score every setup across multiple timeframes — trend, structure, momentum, and timing. All four must agree. If the score doesn't clear my threshold, I don't trade. Some weeks that means several entries. Some weeks none. That's the filter working — not failing.
How I protect the capital
A Layered Defense I treat risk management as the foundation, not an afterthought.
Layer 1 — Volatility-Adaptive Stop: My stop scales with live volatility, not a fixed pip distance. Room to breathe in normal noise, decisive when the move is real. Hidden behind the basket — no broker-visible levels to hunt.
Layer 2 — Pre-emptive Position Close: Before any single trade grows into a real problem, I close it. One trade should never define your week.
Layer 3 — Trailing Daily Backstop: Capped at 50% of equity by default — adjustable to your comfort. The cap follows your intraday peak: as profits grow, your safety floor grows with them and locks. It only moves one direction during the day: up. Resets at day rollover.
Layer 4 — Losing-Streak Cooldown: Consecutive losses trigger a mandatory 24-hour pause. Forced reset. The market will still be there tomorrow. Counter clears after cooldown.
How I exit when I'm right
Three ways, whichever comes first:
1. Take Profit — set distance from basket average
2. Trailing Lock — activates after basket profit reaches a % of equity, then closes on giveback from peak
3. Adaptive Stop — if the trade goes against the basket
Each basket exits as one decision — not entry-by-entry.
What I don't do
- No martingale — grid adds use the same lot size. No doubling, ever.
- No hedging — Buy and Sell never run at the same time.
- No infinite grid — strict caps on grid levels per set, and on number of active sets.
When the cap is hit, I stop adding and wait for resolution.
Lot sizing — your risk control
- Fixed Lot — what you set is what trades
- Fixed per Balance (Ratchet) recommended — lot grows in steps as equity passes milestones, locks in. Drawdowns don't walk it back. Risk scales proportionally with capital.
- Compound %Risk — risk a % of equity per entry, hard max-lot cap.
Want lower risks? Drop the lot. The defaults are one setting, not the only one.
Installation — drag, drop, done
- Attach to any XAUUSD chart (M5 recommended for accurate order visualization)
- Choose your Lot Mode — the one decision worth making up front
- Leave other defaults alone. They're tuned and ready. No .set files needed.
- Enable AutoTrading — done.

Trading XAUUSD with leverage carries substantial risk. No EA wins every trade. Drawdowns are normal. Past performance does not indicate future results. Test on demo, size to what you can afford to lose, run on a VPS. Blackwell Gold prioritises capital preservation and disciplined execution — a professional tool, not a shortcut.

I am already running it in reality and I can say that it is identical to the backtest, a grid but so far healthy, only missing the author adding the option to set the maximum acceptable loss that we are willing to face to run it together with other EAs.
