IndexDip Signals shows the trades of the IndexDip Expert Advisor on your S&P 500 or Nasdaq 100 daily chart: where it buys, where it sells, how those trades did over the chart's history, and the state today. For traders who want to see the signals, or place the orders themselves.
The settings are fixed and the same as the EA's, so the arrows are the EA's trades: the same entries and exits as the EA's own backtest on the same data.
What you see
- An arrow under each bar where a trade starts and one over the bar where it ends: green for a winning trade, red for a losing one
- A line from each entry to its exit (hover it for the dates and the result)
- A panel with the trades over the loaded history: number of trades, winners, average trade, profit factor, worst trade, longest losing streak, average bars held, and all trades compounded
- The state now: in a trade (since when, and its result so far), buy or sell at this bar's open, a setup forming, waiting for a setup, or a market phase in which it does not trade
How it trades
- Long only, daily bars, one trade at a time, a few trades a month, each held a few days
- Stop loss 8% below the entry (an input, as in the EA)
Alerts
Pop-up, push notification and e-mail when a bar opens with a buy or a sell, and when an open trade reaches its stop loss.
Export
Optionally saves the trade list (entry and exit times and prices, result, bars held) to a CSV file in MQL5\Files.
Where it works
Made for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 on the daily chart (US500, SPX500, US100, USTEC, NAS100 and similar names). It runs on other symbols too; the panel shows at once how the trades did there.
Want the trades placed for you, with position sizing and account protection? That is the IndexDip EA by the same author.
