Confluencia Dimensional MTF is a chart indicator that combines three classic tools (EMA crossover state, RSI and MACD) on three timeframes at the same time: M15, H1 and H4. Each timeframe receives a score between -1 and +1, and the indicator draws a buy arrow, a sell arrow or an exit mark only when the scores agree.
How it works
For every active timeframe the score is a weighted sum of: trend (fast EMA above or below slow EMA), normalized RSI distance from 50, and the sign of the MACD main line minus its signal line. A buy arrow appears when every active timeframe scores at or above the entry threshold (sell arrow: at or below the negative threshold). While a signal is active, an exit mark is drawn when the M15 score turns against the position or falls into the neutral zone, or when the average score of the active timeframes loses strength. Higher-timeframe values are read from the last closed bar of that timeframe (configurable extra shift, minimum 1), and signals are only calculated for closed chart bars. The forming bar never carries a signal, so arrows do not change after the bar closes.
Main features
- Three timeframes analysed simultaneously, each can be switched on or off
- Buy, sell and exit marks as standard indicator buffers (usable by other programs via iCustom)
- One position state at a time: no new entry until the previous signal has exited
- Adjustable Wingdings codes and distance of the arrows
- History limit to keep loading fast
Inputs
- Use M15 / H1 / H4: select the timeframes that must agree
- Entry threshold, neutral exit zone, M15 flip level
- EMA, RSI and MACD periods
- HTF bar shift (minimum 1 = last closed higher-timeframe bar)
- Allow a new entry on the same bar as an exit
- Max history bars, arrow offset and arrow codes
Notes and limitations
- The indicator does not open trades and does not send alerts; it only draws signals.
- Because higher timeframes are read from closed bars, signals are delayed compared with the live higher-timeframe values. This is intentional.
- When M15, H1 or H4 data is still loading, the indicator waits and refreshes itself automatically. Old bars beyond the available higher-timeframe history get no signal.
- Past signals do not guarantee future results.
Recommended use
Charts from M1 to M15 are the most natural, since the analysed timeframes are M15, H1 and H4. Suitable for Forex pairs, indices, metals and other liquid symbols.
