Market Structure Target Tracker – BOS, CHoCH and ATR Trade Levels
Market Structure Target Tracker is a MetaTrader 5 (MT5) market structure and price action indicator designed to help traders identify swing highs and swing lows, monitor structural breaks, and visualise potential trade levels using market-structure concepts such as Break of Structure (BOS) and Change of Character (CHoCH). By analysing confirmed swing points and displaying relevant structural events on the chart, the indicator helps traders study bullish and bearish structure, possible trend continuation, and potential changes in directional behaviour without relying exclusively on conventional lagging oscillators. Its chart-based analysis can be combined with ATR-derived reference levels for potential entries, stop-loss placement, and multiple profit targets, while optional confirmation settings can support a more structured approach to evaluating trade scenarios. This makes Market Structure Target Tracker relevant to price action trading, Smart Money Concepts (SMC)-inspired analysis, swing trading, and structure-based technical analysis across forex, gold (XAUUSD), indices, and other CFDs. Traders searching for a BOS and CHoCH indicator for MT5, market structure indicator, swing high and low detector, ATR stop-loss and take-profit tool, or price action trading indicator can use it to organise structural information and assess potential setups directly on the chart. Swing-point confirmation may introduce a delay before a structure event becomes visible, and plotted targets or risk levels are visual references rather than automatically executed trades or guaranteed price outcomes.

Break of Structure (BOS)
The indicator analyzes swing highs and swing lows over a configurable swing length. When price breaks a relevant structural level, the indicator can mark the event with a bullish or bearish BOS signal.
Bullish and bearish signals use separate colors, and optional arrows allow you to review historical structure breaks.
A BOS marker identifies a price-structure event according to the indicator's rules. It does not establish that price will continue in the breakout direction.
Change of Character (CHoCH)
The indicator can display BOS and CHoCH labels to help distinguish structural breaks from potential changes in the prevailing directional state.
These labels can be used when reviewing market structure, potential trend transitions and the relationship between successive swing points.
As with all structure-based analysis, signals should be interpreted in context. A single break may fail or be followed by a reversal.
Structural Target Reference
Market Structure Target Tracker uses previous swing structure as a reference for potential targets. The indicator can display a target line to help visualize a relevant structural price level.
A structural target can provide a different perspective from a fixed-distance target because it relates the analysis to prior price swings. However, reaching a previous swing is not guaranteed.
ATR-Based Entry, Stop-Loss and Take-Profit Levels
The indicator can display reference entry, stop-loss and three take-profit levels based on ATR and configurable multipliers.
The default settings are:
-
ATR period: 14.
-
Stop-loss multiplier: 1.0 ATR.
-
First target: 1.5 ATR.
-
Second target: 3 ATR.
-
Third target: 5 ATR.
You can adjust these values and enable or disable the display of the levels. The indicator also supports visual risk and target zones, making it easier to compare the potential stop distance with the configured target distances.
These are analytical levels, not live orders. The indicator does not automatically execute trades or manage positions.
Optional Higher-Timeframe RSI Filter
An optional higher-timeframe filter uses RSI calculated on a selected timeframe, with H4 as the default timeframe and 14 periods as the default RSI length.
This option adds another condition to the structure-based analysis. It can be enabled or disabled according to your trading approach.
Dashboard and Visualization Controls
The indicator provides an on-chart dashboard and configurable chart objects. You can control the display of BOS lines, BOS and CHoCH labels, historical arrows, structural targets and trade levels.
Colors for bullish and bearish BOS markers, entry, stop-loss and take-profit levels, and risk/target zones can be customized.
An invalidation option is also available to control how the indicator handles invalidated structure references.
Suggested Use
Begin by identifying the relevant swing structure and reviewing the BOS or CHoCH marker. Consider the previous swing target and nearby support or resistance, then assess the ATR-based levels in relation to the current volatility.
If the higher-timeframe RSI filter is enabled, use it as an additional analytical condition rather than a guarantee of confirmation. Always evaluate the signal within the context of the broader market.
Important Information
Market Structure Target Tracker is a chart-analysis indicator, not an Expert Advisor. It does not place or manage live trades.
Swing-based structure signals require historical bars to establish pivots, so the confirmation of a swing can occur after the pivot itself. Breaks of structure and CHoCH labels may fail, and reference targets may not be reached. Test the indicator on your intended instrument and timeframe and use appropriate risk management.
