Every moving average forgets a move the moment it ends. This baseline remembers — it holds the level a trend reached instead of snapping back into the noise. ▬▬▬ THE PROBLEM ▬▬▬
A normal moving average follows price tick by tick. In a quiet range it wobbles, and every small spike drags it around — so your entries and exits flip on noise that means nothing. You end up over-trading a line that never sits still.
▬▬▬ HOW IT WORKS ▬▬▬
Memory Baseline adapts, then remembers. When price stretches far from the line, a rubber-band pull closes the gap so the baseline keeps up with a real move. When the move is over, the line does not snap back — it holds the level it reached and eases down on its own, the way a trend actually cools off. A directional slope bias leans the line the way momentum is running, capped by ATR so it never runs away from price. The result is a baseline that tracks strong moves but stops reacting to every wick.
▬▬▬ WHY IT BEATS A PLAIN EMA 200 ▬▬▬
A 200-period EMA is the classic baseline, but it is a fixed-speed average: it lags badly when a real move starts, then keeps drifting after the move is over, and it wobbles inside ranges because every close pulls it a little. Memory Baseline is not fixed-speed. It closes the gap to price fast when a move actually stretches, holds the reached level instead of drifting back, and stays put when price is only chopping. Same idea as an EMA baseline — one clean line you trade around — but it reacts when it should and stays still when it should, which is exactly what an EMA cannot do at a single fixed period.
▬▬▬ TWO BASELINES, ONE CHART ▬▬▬
Turn on the higher-timeframe overlay and a second baseline appears on the same chart — the same memory line computed on a higher timeframe, drawn as a staircase. Your local line gives the fine signal; the higher-timeframe line gives the background bias. You read top-down without switching charts: trade the local line in the direction of the higher-timeframe one.

▬▬▬ HOW TO USE IT ▬▬▬
- Add it to any chart. The default 200-period baseline suits swing and trend trading.
- Read direction from the colour: price above a rising line favours longs, below a falling line favours shorts.
- Use a close beyond the line as a bias shift, not a raw scalping trigger.
- For a top-down read, set HTF to a higher timeframe and trade the local line in the direction of the higher-timeframe staircase.
- Turn on alerts so you do not have to watch the chart.
