Supertrend Clarity is a trend visualization indicator for MetaTrader 5 designed to improve how traders interpret the Supertrend.

Most Supertrend indicators simply draw a line on the chart. In practice, this often leads to confusion. A common situation is when the line turns red, but price still moves upward for several candles, or when the line turns green but the market immediately pulls back. Without context, it is not always clear what the indicator is actually showing.

This version focuses on clarity rather than adding new signals.

Instead of changing the core Supertrend formula, it adds a structured visual layer to help interpret trend state and band position relative to price.

Core Behavior

The indicator follows the standard Supertrend logic:

• uses ATR-based bands
• switches between bullish and bearish states
• plots a trailing band above or below price
• generates Buy and Sell transitions when trend direction changes

No additional filters or signal modifications are applied. The goal is to preserve the original behavior while making it easier to read.

Visual Interpretation

Supertrend Clarity adds context directly on the chart:

• current trend state is displayed as BULLISH or BEARISH
• a helper description explains whether the band is above or below price
• Buy and Sell transitions are marked at the point of trend change
• the band is visually separated to reduce misreading during pullbacks
• optional background and distance information can be enabled for additional context

This helps answer a common question when using Supertrend:

Is the market actually reversing, or just retracing within the same trend?

Practical Use

The indicator can be used on any instrument supported by MetaTrader 5, including:

• Gold (XAUUSD)

It is particularly useful on XAUUSD, where price movement can be fast and temporary pullbacks are frequent. In these conditions, the ability to distinguish between a trend continuation and a reversal becomes more important than the signal itself.
