Account Protection Suite protects the whole trading account from one chart. It covers trades you open by hand and trades opened by other Expert Advisors.
Protection modules
- Stops and targets: adds a stop loss and a take profit to any trade opened without them. The distance can follow the typical market move (Average True Range), be a fixed number of pips, risk a set share of the account, or sit beyond the nearest support or resistance. Stops can be moved clear of nearby levels.
- Daily loss limit: a percentage of the day's starting balance or a money amount. Warnings come first. At the limit you choose what happens: close all trades, close losing trades only, or stop new trades for the rest of the day.
- Losing-streak brake: after a set number of losses in a row, new trades are paused for a number of hours, until the next candle, until the next session, or until the Suite is re-attached. Counted across the account or for each strategy separately.
- Maximum drawdown: fixed from the initial balance or trailing from peak equity. At the limit, open positions are closed and new trades are blocked.
- Position limits: maximum open trades and total lots. Alert only (the default) or Block.
- Trade discipline rules, all off by default: a maximum number of new trades per day, blocked hours, a cap on lot size, and a time limit for losing trades.
Risk Advisor
- Once the account has 30 closed trades, the Advisor studies your own history and shows where money was lost: by time of day, weekday, symbol, losing streaks, lot size after losses, holding time, daily and overall drawdown, and trades per day.
- Each finding shows how many trades it is based on. Where a setting would address it, an Apply button sets it for this account, and Revert undoes it.
- Applied settings can be exported as a .set file to load in the inputs window.
- The Advisor gives advice only. It never opens trades.
The panel
- Six tabs: a dashboard, stops and targets, daily loss, losing streak, maximum drawdown, and the Risk Advisor.
- When new trades are being blocked, the panel says which rule is blocking them.
- The panel can be dragged and collapsed, and it remembers where you put it.
Notes
- Alerts can go to a pop-up, a push notification or an email.
- Enforcement pauses over the weekend, from Friday 22:00 to Sunday 21:00 UTC.
- Settings and saved values are kept for each account.
- It does not open trades.
Inputs
Module Toggles
- Enable stops and targets module, Enable daily loss limit module, Enable losing-streak brake module, Enable maximum drawdown module: each module can be switched off.
SL/TP: Stop Loss
- Enable SL Enforcement: add stop losses. Default on.
- SL Mode: ATR-Based, Fixed Pips, Equity % Based, or S/R Smart SL (beyond the nearest level).
- Fixed SL (pips): default 30. ATR Multiplier for SL: default 1.5. ATR Period for SL: default 14. Equity % Risk for SL: default 1.0.
- S/R Safety Nudge: move stops clear of nearby levels. Default on.
SL/TP: S/R Intelligence
- Min Touches for S/R Level (5), Max Zone Width (pips) (8), Zone Projection (bars) (60), Remove Broken Levels (on), Max Zones Displayed (10), Smart SL Margin Beyond Zone (pips) (5), Smart SL Fallback (pips) (30).
SL/TP: Take Profit
- Enable TP Enforcement: add take profits. Default on.
- TP Mode: ATR-Based, Fixed Pips, or Risk:Reward from SL.
- Fixed TP (pips): default 45. ATR Multiplier for TP: default 2.0. ATR Period for TP: default 14. Risk:Reward Ratio for TP: default 2.0.
SL/TP: Scan
- Scan Interval (seconds): default 1. Delay after trade open (seconds): default 3.
Daily Loss Settings
- Max Daily Loss (% of start balance): default 4. Max Daily Loss in account currency: 0 uses the percentage.
- Daily Reset Hour (server time): default 0.
- Action When Limit Hit: close all trades and suspend, close losing trades only and suspend, or suspend new entries only.
- Warning at % of limit: first 50, second 75.
Streak Settings
- Max Consecutive Losses Before Pause: default 5.
- Cooldown Mode: next bar, a number of hours, next trading session, or until the Suite is re-attached. Cooldown Hours: default 4.
- Streak Tracking Scope: all trades combined, or per strategy (per magic number).
Max DD Settings
- Drawdown Type: fixed from initial balance, or trailing from peak equity.
- Max Drawdown (%): default 8. Max Drawdown in account currency: 0 uses the percentage.
- Initial Balance: 0 uses the balance on the first run and saves it.
- Warning at % of DD limit / Critical at % of DD limit: 50 and 75.
Position Limits
- When a limit is exceeded: Alert only (default), or Block, which closes the trade that breaks the limit.
- Max Open Trades: default 10 (0 = unlimited). Max Total Lots: default 2.0 (0 = unlimited).
Trade Discipline (all off by default; the Advisor can switch these on)
- Limit new trades per day: most new trades per day, default 3.
- Block new trades during set hours: from 15 to 17, broker time.
- Cap the size of each trade: largest lot size per trade, default 1.0.
- Close losing trades held too long: minutes a losing trade may stay open, default 120.
Risk Advisor
- Study my trade history for leaks: default on.
Scope
- Magic Number Filter: all trades, only listed magic numbers, or all except listed ones. Magic Numbers: comma-separated.
- Monitor All Symbols: default on. Symbols: the list used when not all symbols are monitored.
Alerts
- MT5 On-Screen Alert, Push Notification (MetaTrader 5 mobile app), Email Alert (uses the terminal's email settings).
