MACD M1 Signal Matrix is a manual trading assistant for MetaTrader 5 designed to identify, classify and visually organize MACD momentum setups on the M1 timeframe.
The indicator does not open, modify or close trades. Its purpose is to help discretionary traders distinguish between different types of MACD setups instead of treating every crossover as equally relevant.
The internal model evaluates several aspects of momentum structure, volatility, timing and technical context and assigns each signal a quality class.
Signal Classification
Signals are grouped into five classes:
C → B → A → A+ → ELITE
Higher classes reflect a stronger combination of the conditions evaluated by the model. However, a higher class should not automatically be interpreted as a better entry.
In particular, ELITE does not necessarily mean that the signal is superior to an A+ from an entry-timing perspective.
Some ELITE signals may appear at a more advanced stage of the move, after a larger part of the momentum has already developed.
For this reason:
- A+ may sometimes offer a very good balance between setup quality and timing.
- ELITE indicates a very strong combination of model conditions, but should also be interpreted in the context of how mature or extended the move already is.
- Extreme Momentum provides additional context when the move is unusually strong or already significantly extended.
The classes should therefore not be treated as a simple ranking where ELITE is always the best possible entry. They represent different levels of setup structure and momentum intensity.
By default, the indicator displays only A, A+ and ELITE signals to keep the chart clean and focused on the stronger setups.
The minimum displayed class can be changed from Inputs, allowing B and C signals to be displayed as well.
Momentum Confirmation
The original signal appears after the signal bar has closed.
The indicator then evaluates whether momentum continues to develop favorably on the following closed bar.
When this additional momentum condition is confirmed, a bold yellow C marker appears on the following bar.
C means Confirmed.
The confirmation:
- is not a new BUY or SELL signal;
- does not replace the original signal;
- does not change its class;
- does not delay the original signal;
- does not generate a separate trading signal.
For example:
A+ BUY → C
This means that the original setup was classified as A+ BUY and subsequently received an additional momentum confirmation.
If no C appears, the original signal is not automatically invalid. It simply means that the additional momentum confirmation condition was not met on the following bar.
The C marker is intended as an additional visual layer showing whether momentum continued to develop after the original setup.
Extreme Momentum
The indicator can separately identify situations where momentum has reached an unusually strong or extended state.
These situations are displayed using an additional colored arrow/marker next to the main signal.
Extreme Momentum is not a signal class above ELITE.
It is a separate market-context flag.
Extreme momentum may indicate a very powerful move, but it can also mean that a meaningful part of the impulse has already taken place and that the move is becoming more advanced or extended.
For this reason, Extreme Momentum should be interpreted as additional information about the maturity and intensity of the move, rather than as an automatic reason to increase trade aggressiveness.
For example:
A+ BUY + Extreme Momentum
remains an A+ signal and does not automatically become ELITE.
Alerts
Alerts are generated on the original signal, not on the C confirmation.
From Inputs, users can:
- enable or disable all signal alerts using one master switch;
- enable or disable popup alerts;
- enable or disable sound alerts;
- enable or disable push notifications;
- select the minimum signal class that can trigger an alert.
The C confirmation is visual only and does not generate a separate alert.
Validated Symbols and Timeframe
The indicator includes a compact dashboard that immediately shows whether the current symbol and timeframe belong to the validated configuration for this version.
Validated underlying profiles include:
XAUUSD, XAGUSD, BTCUSD, EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, NAS100 and SP500
The indicator automatically recognizes several common broker prefixes, suffixes and alternative symbol names.
If a broker uses a different symbol name, the exact symbol can be entered manually in Inputs.
The signal engine is designed for:
M1
When the indicator is used on a validated symbol and on M1, the dashboard displays:
VALIDATED SYMBOL
VALIDATED TIMEFRAME
On another timeframe, the MACD visualization remains available, while the signal engine is disabled.
The dashboard will then indicate:
NOT VALIDATED TIMEFRAME (M1 REQUIRED)
On M1 symbols outside the validated list, the indicator can still calculate, but the dashboard clearly marks the symbol as:
NOT VALIDATED SYMBOL
Dashboard
The compact dashboard displays:
- current symbol;
- symbol validation status;
- current timeframe;
- timeframe validation status.
This allows the user to immediately see whether the indicator is being used in its intended configuration.

How to Use the Indicator
MACD M1 Signal Matrix is designed as a decision-support tool for manual trading.
A typical workflow is:
- Wait for a closed-bar A, A+ or ELITE signal.
- Evaluate the broader market context and your own trading plan.
- Observe whether a yellow C confirmation appears on the following closed bar.
- Use Extreme Momentum as additional context regarding the maturity and intensity of the move.
- Apply your own entry, Stop Loss, Take Profit and risk-management rules.
The indicator does not automatically decide whether a trade should be opened.
Important
MACD M1 Signal Matrix is an analytical indicator and manual trading assistant.
It does not provide automatic trade execution.
It does not determine position size.
It does not place Stop Loss or Take Profit orders.
Signals and confirmations are calculated using closed bars.
No indicator can eliminate trading risk, and historical market behavior does not guarantee future results.
Trade selection, execution and risk management remain entirely the responsibility of the user.
