Trading View to MT5 Smart Bridge

Smart Trader Bridge turns TradingView webhook alerts into real orders on your MetaTrader 5 account, and then keeps the broker in step with your strategy.

Most TradingView-to-MT5 tools send an order and forget it. Smart Trader Bridge tracks every position your strategy holds, executes partial take-profits, moves the real broker stop-loss as targets are hit, and repairs positions that drift out of sync. That is what prop-firm accounts with open-risk limits need.

How it works

1. TradingView sends an alert (strategy or indicator) to your private webhook URL.
2. The bridge server decides what the alert means (open, partial close, full close or reversal) and queues a command for your account.
3. The EA on your MT5 chart picks up the command within your poll interval and executes it on the chart symbol.
4. The EA reports live positions back on every cycle, and the server reconciles them with what the strategy should hold.

Broker-side stop-loss stepping

Many bridges can set a stop-loss only once, at entry. When your strategy takes partial profits, the broker still shows the original wide stop, and a prop firm counts that full risk. Smart Trader Bridge moves the real broker stop as targets fill:

• Entry: SL at your chosen distance from the broker's own fill price.
• TP1 partial: SL moves to breakeven (the position's entry, with an optional 1-pip buffer).
• TP2 partial: SL moves to the broker price recorded at TP1.

Distances are applied to your broker's prices, so a price offset between the TradingView feed and your broker does not shift your stops.

Full trade lifecycle

Market and limit entries, TP1/TP2 partial exits, full closes and reversals are all supported. Take-profit can be a constant distance in points, and SL/TP can also be set as a percentage of the entry price. Strategy alerts use TradingView's strategy placeholders and support partials. Indicator alerts work too: buy means long, sell means short.

Self-healing position sync

• Entry missed because the terminal was offline or the market was closed: a one-time limit order is placed at the strategy's entry price.
• Strategy closes before that limit fills: the pending order is cancelled.
• A stop update was missed: the drift is detected and the update is re-issued.
• Every command is acknowledged with the broker's actual response.

Works with any broker and symbol

If the alert says USOUSD but your broker calls it WTI, set TradingView_Symbol and attach the EA to the WTI chart. You can use the strategy's contracts, a fixed lot or a multiplier (for example 0.5x). The filling mode (FOK / IOC / Return) is detected automatically. Before every order the EA checks the allowed direction, free margin, stops level and freeze level. Several strategies on one symbol are kept apart by magic number (a hedging account is recommended for this).

Free web dashboard

Every buyer gets a free dashboard, with no extra subscription for MT5. It includes an alert generator that builds the JSON message for you, and a trade log with every signal received, every command sent to the EA and every broker response, per MT5 account. The EA prints the dashboard address in the Experts tab.

Lightweight and safe

No DLLs and no external libraries, so it runs on stripped prop-firm MT5 builds. The EA is timer-driven: it does no work per tick and makes one small HTTPS request per poll cycle. There is no API key to type. The EA registers your MT5 login on first start and recovers its key automatically on a new terminal or VPS. If the account cannot be matched automatically, you approve the new terminal from the dashboard.

Setup (about five minutes)

1. In MT5 open Tools > Options > Expert Advisors. Tick "Allow algorithmic trading" and "Allow WebRequest for listed URL", then add https://ws.smartraderbot.com
2. Attach the EA to the chart of every symbol you want to trade (one EA per chart) and make sure the Algo Trading button is green.
3. Open the Experts tab. The EA prints your personal webhook URL and the dashboard address.
4. In TradingView, create the alert: paste the JSON message (from the generator, or the template in the comments) and your webhook URL.
5. Fire a test alert on a demo account and check the result in the trade log.

If the WebRequest URL has not been added yet, the EA retries on its own every 30 seconds. There is no need to re-attach it.

Input parameters

• TradingView_Symbol: the ticker to listen for. Blank = chart symbol.
• Order_Size: blank = the strategy's contracts, or a fixed lot (for example 0.10).
• Order_Size_Adjustment: blank = 1x, or a lot multiplier (for example 0.5).
• FillingType: preferred filling mode. The EA falls back to one the symbol supports.
• Display_Logs: detailed log in the Experts tab.
• Poll_Interval: seconds between checks for new commands (default 5, minimum 1).

Requirements

MetaTrader 5 with any broker or prop firm, on a netting or hedging account. WebRequest permission for https://ws.smartraderbot.com. A TradingView plan with webhook alerts. The terminal must be running to execute, so a VPS is recommended.

Strategy Tester and demo

WebRequest does not work in the Strategy Tester. In the tester, the EA runs a small built-in demonstration cycle (a minimum-lot order with a fixed SL/TP, held for a few bars and then closed) to show that it trades correctly on your symbol. That demo is not a strategy, and its results mean nothing. Live, the EA only executes your alerts.

Privacy

To identify your account, the EA sends the MT5 login number, the broker server name and a one-way SHA-256 fingerprint. No passwords, no balance or equity figures and no trade history are sent. Only positions on the EA's chart symbol are reported, for reconciliation.

Launch price

Launch price: $99 for the first 20 copies, after which the price will be $149. Rental prices stay the same.
