Gold M3 Trend Guide

Gold M3 Trend Guide is an automated trend-following Expert Advisor for gold symbols on MetaTrader 5. It evaluates completed M3 candles and opens a position only when four conditions align in the same trend direction.

Entry conditions

A trade setup requires all four conditions below:

• Slow Stochastic 12,5,3: default extreme levels of 85 and 15
• Bollinger Bands 20,2: price breakout beyond the upper or lower band
• Ichimoku cloud distance 9,26,52: price must exceed the active distance threshold from the chart-aligned cloud
• Trend stage: confirmed movement measured in 18-price-unit increments

The cloud-distance threshold uses the higher value between the fixed floor and the average measured from the previous five completed trading days.

Trend process

• Upward conditions open BUY positions.
• Downward conditions open SELL positions.
• Trend stages extend through 18, 36, 54, 72 and subsequent increments.
• A new direction is confirmed after an opposite movement reaches the higher value of 18 price units or 70 percent of the active trend length.
• If an opposite signal appears before the combined target is reached, the EA adjusts the managed exposure toward one unit in the new direction.

Default trade management

• Unit size: 0.05 lot
• Combined floating-profit target: 50 USD
• Maximum managed positions: 8
• Maximum managed gross volume: 0.40 lot
• Cycle floating-loss guard: 300 USD
• Account high-watermark drawdown guard: 20 percent

If a new exposure request would exceed a configured position or volume limit, the EA closes the managed basket and reopens one unit in the requested direction. If the account drawdown guard is triggered, managed positions are closed and new entries are halted.

Symbol and account setup

• Attach the EA to the broker's gold chart, such as XAUUSD, GOLD or a suffixed gold symbol.
• Recommended chart timeframe: M3.
• When RequestedSymbol is blank, the current chart symbol is used.
• Hedging and netting accounts are supported, although execution behavior can differ by account model.
• Only positions matching the EA's symbol and magic number are managed.
