Overview
MPX-DPR5 is a Daily Pivot Mean Reversion Expert Advisor for Gold (XAUUSD) on the M15 timeframe. It calculates daily Pivot Point, S1, and R1 levels from the previous day's OHLC data, then waits for price to probe beyond S1 or R1 before entering a counter-move trade back toward the Pivot Point. Entries are confirmed by RSI direction and an EMA trend filter.
The EA opens a maximum of 1 position per symbol at a time, with TP set precisely at the Pivot Point level.

How It Works
Pivot Calculation
Daily Pivot Point, S1, and R1 are recalculated once per day using the previous day's High, Low, and Close:
- PP = (High + Low + Close) / 3
- S1 = (PP × 2) − High
- R1 = (PP × 2) − Low
Entry Logic
- BUY: price is above EMA (uptrend), low of recent bars touched or probed below S1 (within buffer), RSI is turning upward and below threshold → Buy with TP at PP
- SELL: price is below EMA (downtrend), high of recent bars touched or probed above R1 (within buffer), RSI is turning downward and above threshold → Sell with TP at PP
- Maximum 1 open position per symbol at any time
Position Sizing
- Lot size calculated automatically based on % risk per trade
- SL set at ATR × multiplier from entry price

Recommended Usage
- Default parameters are optimized for XAUUSD M15 and can be used as-is
- Price_Buffer controls how far beyond S1/R1 price must probe — increase for stricter entries, decrease for more trades
- Reducing Risk_Percent (e.g. to 0.5%) will lower drawdown proportionally
- While optimized for XAUUSD, this EA can be applied to other symbols and timeframes with parameter re-optimization
Important Notes
- MPX-DPR5 is a Mean Reversion EA — it performs best in ranging days when price respects S1/R1 levels and reverts to PP
- Win rate is high (73%+) by design — small average profit per trade, relies on consistency and trade frequency
