TrendRetest Scalper EA

A hybrid trend-following and support/resistance retest scalper for MetaTrader 5. TrendRetest Scalper automatically switches between two entry styles depending on current market conditions: trend pullback entries when ADX confirms a directional move, and breakout-retest entries when the market is range-bound.

At its core, the EA is built around an SNR (Support & Resistance) approach to market structure: it identifies recent swing-pivot highs and lows, waits for price to break through one of those levels with enough distance to confirm conviction, then looks for price to retest that broken level before entering — rather than chasing the breakout itself. This retest-based SNR logic is combined with a trend filter, so the same level-based entry style is used in both trending and ranging conditions, just with different confirmation requirements depending on the detected regime.

How it works

• Smart regime detection: uses EMA(20)/EMA(50) alignment plus ADX on a higher timeframe to classify the market as trending or ranging before deciding which entry logic to use.
• Trend mode: enters on pullbacks toward a fast EMA during confirmed trends, filtered by candle strength to avoid weak signals.
• Range mode (SNR retest): detects pivot-based support/resistance breakouts and waits for a retest of the broken level — confirmed by price touching back near the level and closing through it with a strong candle — before entering, rather than chasing the breakout itself.
• Risk management: includes ATR-based or fixed stop-loss/take-profit, break-even shifting, a trailing stop, basket-level profit targets, and a daily loss/profit lock to pause trading after a defined daily result.
• Lot sizing: supports either a fixed lot size or equity-risk-based position sizing with a hard maximum lot cap.
