Simplify Trader VX — Automated Gold Trading for MetaTrader 5

Simplify Trader VX is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor focused on Eurusd and Xauusd trading. It includes two independently enabled strategies: an H1 Candle Break system and an Alpha Core system that checks for setups on M15 using H1 price structure.

Trading strategies

Candle Break — H1

Candle Break reads the previous closed H1 candle and can place pending orders beyond its high and low, using a configurable entry buffer. The strategy uses the Vortex indicator and can apply optional EMA trend, tick-volume, candle-body, and RSI/ADX momentum filters.

Choose between two-sided pending-order mode and directional mode. Stop-loss options include a fixed distance or the previous candle range with an ATR buffer. Take profit can use a configured distance or optional ATR-based logic. The strategy also includes a step-based trailing stop.

Alpha Core — M15 checks with H1 price structure

Alpha Core scans closed H1 price data for swing levels and evaluates new setups on M15 bars. It can place pending orders around those levels, with configurable scan range, swing spans, offsets, ladder width, and pending-order lifetime.

Alpha Core has separate lot sizing, magic number, stop loss, take profit, break-even, and trailing settings, including optional H1 pivot trailing. It is disabled by default and can be enabled independently of Candle Break.

Money management and trade controls

Candle Break supports automatic lot sizing with a selectable risk level or a fixed-lot option. Alpha Core has its own fixed-lot or balance-risk sizing and an optional maximum lot.

Candle Break includes configurable spread and slippage controls. The spread limit is configurable; its input is compared using the EA’s pip conversion, so confirm the displayed spread units and quote digits with your broker before setting a limit. Broker execution, contract size, commissions, and slippage can affect results.

Recommended operating profile

The following profile is carried over from the original product description. It is guidance, not a guarantee or a restriction imposed by the EA:

• Symbols: EURUSD and XAUUSD is the primary focus. XAUEUR and XAUJPY may also be tested where the broker offers them. The EA trades the symbol of the chart to which it is attached.
• Timeframe: H1 is recommended for the chart. Candle Break uses H1 logic; Alpha Core checks new M15 bars and reads H1 data.
• Broker and account: A low-spread ECN or RAW account is preferred.
• Leverage: The original recommendation was 1:200 or higher. Available leverage and margin requirements depend on your broker.
• Capital reference: The original description suggested $100 as a starting reference and $300 or more for medium-risk use. These figures are not validated minimums. Suitability depends on the broker’s contract size, minimum lot, leverage, stop distance, and the selected risk settings.
• Spread: The original description suggested 10–20 points. Check the broker’s quote format and the EA’s pip-converted spread value before using that range.
• VPS: A VPS is recommended for continuous operation during the trading week. It is not required, but the EA needs MetaTrader 5 running and connected to the broker to manage live trades.

News filter

The optional news filter is disabled by default. When enabled, it can monitor USD, EUR, JPY, GBP, and additional selected currencies for medium- or high-importance events. It can pause new entries and cancel this EA’s pending orders during configured periods before and after an event; it does not close open positions.

The filter uses the MetaTrader economic calendar. Calendar filtering is bypassed in the Strategy Tester, where historical calendar queries are unavailable. Tester results therefore do not include the live news filter.

Setup and testing

Attach the EA to the desired chart symbol, enable algorithmic trading, and ensure sufficient price history is available. Test Candle Break and Alpha Core separately before evaluating them together. Results can vary with broker data, spread, commission, slippage, symbol specifications, and input settings. Demo testing is recommended before live use.
