TrAi Apex — automated gold trading (XAUUSD)
Systematic trading. Controlled risk. No martingale.
TrAi Apex is an automated Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD), built for disciplined trading with a focus on risk management and control of open positions.
The robot does not try to trade every market move. It waits for its entry conditions and opens trades only when they are met.
Why TrAi Apex is different from most robots
• No martingale: the robot never increases the lot after a losing trade.
• No grid, no averaging: losing positions are not accumulated while waiting for a reversal.
• Stop Loss and Take Profit on every trade: levels are calculated as a percentage of the current gold price.
• Moderate activity: about 4–5 trades per week on average. The robot does not trade for the sake of trade count.
• Protection around important news: trading is restricted during periods of high news activity.
• Closing before the weekend: on Friday the robot closes remaining positions and does not carry them over the weekend.
• Break-even and trailing stop: built-in tools for managing open positions.
Three risk modes — one setting
Choose the risk level per trade:
• Conservative — 0.5%
• Balanced — 1% (default)
• Aggressive — 2%
• Custom — set your own risk percentage.
Position size is calculated automatically according to the selected mode and the current account balance.
Control of open positions
You decide the maximum number of positions open at the same time.
1 position — default mode
The more conservative way to manage capital. The robot holds no more than one position at a time.
Recommended for beginners and for accounts from $500 to $2,000, subject to suitable trading conditions and the selected risk level. On small deposits the minimum lot (0.01) can make the real risk per trade higher than the selected mode.
2 positions — advanced mode
The robot can hold two positions at the same time. Historical tests show higher profit, but also higher drawdown.
Suitable for experienced users and accounts from $2,000.
Additional parameters:
• Max open positions — maximum number of simultaneously open positions.
• Max entries per side per server day — limit of entries per day for each side, Buy and Sell separately (default 3).
Convenient trading control
The on-chart dashboard shows:
• the robot's status and the selected risk mode;
• balance, equity and floating profit;
• total profit in percent;
• Buy and Sell entry levels;
• the last opened and the last closed trade.
Optional Telegram notifications about trading events are also available (off by default).
Test results
All tests were run in the Strategy Tester on XAUUSD with an initial deposit of $2,000. Maximum drawdown is shown by equity.

Default settings: one open position.

The lot size grows with the account balance according to the risk settings (compounding), so over a long period the results look much higher than in the first year. You do not need to change the lot manually. Some trades close near zero after the stop is moved to break-even, which raises the share of winning trades. 2026 was an especially strong year for gold, and similar conditions are not guaranteed to repeat.
Historical results are not a forecast of future performance and do not guarantee profit.

To get started:
• Risk mode: Balanced (1%)
• Max open positions: 1
• Max entries per side per server day: 3
Experienced users can allow two simultaneous positions, taking into account the higher trading load and potential drawdown.
Technical requirements
• Instrument: XAUUSD.
• Chart timeframe: any. The robot calculates its levels on its own internal timeframe (H2 by default), so you do not need to switch the chart.
• Platform: MetaTrader 5, a hedging account is recommended.
• Recommended leverage: from 1:30.
• A VPS is recommended for continuous operation.
