Aegis Order and Risk Manager is a utility Expert Advisor for traders who open positions themselves. A two-tab panel provides one-click buy and sell orders, and the EA manages the positions of the chart symbol with a fractal trailing stop, an optional basket profit target and an optional rescue hedge.
How it works
- Trade tab: set Risk % and volume with the +/- buttons, then click BUY or SELL. With panel risk sizing on (default), the volume is calculated from Risk % of the balance over the default stop distance; with it off (or stop = 0), the fixed panel volume is used. Every order carries the default stop loss.
- Fractal trailing: on each new bar, for positions in profit, the stop moves to the last 5-bar fractal low (buys) or high (sells) plus a buffer, only in the favorable direction.
- Basket target (off by default): when the managed positions reach the profit amount, all are closed.
- Rescue hedge (hedging accounts only): when the basket loss reaches the trigger, one opposite position is opened for a fraction of the net exposure. It fires once per basket and re-arms when the basket is flat or rescue is switched on again.
- CLOSE closes all managed positions on the symbol.
- Managed positions: those with the EA's magic number; manual positions only if you enable it.
Live trading disclosure
The EA never opens a position on its own based on market analysis. Positions are opened when you click BUY or SELL, and automatically only by the rescue hedge, which you must enable (RESCUE button or InpAutoRescue). Trailing, basket close and rescue act on managed positions.
Strategy Tester
As this is a manual tool, InpTesterAutoDemo (default true) opens demonstration trades in the Strategy Tester only, to show the management working: one position at a time, direction from 10-bar momentum, risk-based volume, default stop, target at twice the stop. It never runs outside the tester.

Notes and limitations
- The rescue hedge has no stop loss.
- Calculated volume is limited by the broker's minimum, maximum and step.
- Trading involves risk; test on a demo account first.

Any symbol and timeframe; trailing uses the chart timeframe's fractals.
