JONUX FRVP — Fixed Range Volume Profile for MT4


JONUX FRVP is an analytical tool designed to visualize volume distribution within the MetaTrader 4 platform. Unlike standard volume indicators that are statically bound to chart periods, this utility employs an interactive engine to analyze the volume traded at specific price levels over a user-defined custom time range.


Concept & Functionality 

The indicator calculates a histogram of volume across user-defined price bins and highlights key structural levels of the market:

  • Point of Control (POC): Identifies the price level with the highest traded volume in the selected range, representing the main price level of high trading activity.

  • Value Area (VAH & VAL): Highlights the specific zone where a defined percentage (Default: 70%) of the total volume was executed.

  • High Volume Nodes (HVNs): Detects significant local volume peaks outside the POC, revealing historical support and resistance clusters.


Application & Best Practices 

This tool is engineered to assist in structural chart analysis. It is designed for analyzing specific market phases:

  • Consolidations & Ranges: Helps to identify where volume accumulation or distribution takes place.

  • Trend Pullbacks: Allows the analysis of the POC and Value Area extremes of previous market swings.

  • Breakout Analysis: Helps to determine if a price move out of the Value Area is supported by volume activity.

Settings & Parameters

  • Value Area Volume (%): Set the percentage for the Value Area calculation (Default: 70).
