MSB Pro SMC Gold Trader is an Expert Advisor that trades the signals of the MSB Pro SMC Gold indicator automatically. The indicator is built into the EA, so you do not need to buy or install it separately. It was designed and tested on XAUUSD (gold) H1.
Every decision is made on closed candles only. The EA never acts on a signal that could still change.
HOW IT TRADES
- Reads market structure: swing highs/lows, BOS and CHoCH, current trend.
- Waits for price to return to an untouched Order Block or Fair Value Gap in the trend direction.
- Enters when that candle closes as a rejection (a BUY or SELL signal of the indicator).
- Stop Loss beyond the zone plus an ATR buffer. Take Profit at 3R (TP1/TP2 also available).
- Every trade has a fixed Stop Loss and Take Profit from the start. No martingale, no grid, no averaging, one position at a time.
TRADE MANAGEMENT
- Break-even: SL moves to entry + a small offset once the trade reaches 1R (adjustable).
- Optional partial take-profit (X% at Y R) and optional trailing stop (ATR- or swing-based). Both are off by default because in our tests they reduced the overall result: the strategy earns from the trades that reach the final target.
- Each management step runs once per position (ticket + magic number). Works on hedging and netting accounts and survives a terminal restart.
RISK AND PROTECTION
- Position size by risk % of equity (default 1%) or a fixed lot.
- Small accounts: when the 1% lot is below the broker's minimum, the EA uses the minimum lot, but it skips the trade if that minimum lot would risk more than 5% of equity. Recommended minimum balance for XAUUSD: 1,000 USD.
- Daily loss limit (default 3%) and maximum trades per day.
- Spread filter.
- No new trades around the daily rollover, in the first hour of the week, or while the market is closed.
- High-impact news filter: pauses new trades ±45 minutes around high-impact USD events, using the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar (live trading only; the calendar is not available in the Strategy Tester).
- Checks broker limits (stop level, volume limits, free margin) before every order.
RECOMMENDED USE
- Symbol: XAUUSD. Timeframe: H1. Default settings are ready to use.
- Lower timeframes (M5/M15) are not recommended: in our tests the spread and noise turned results negative there.
- Start on a demo account and compare its results with the Strategy Tester before trading live. When you go live, a lower risk such as 0.5% per trade is a sensible start.
- If you run other EAs on the same symbol, give each one its own magic number.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a trend-following setup with a low win rate and large winners. Typically about one trade in four reaches the 3R target and the others are stopped at a loss or at break-even. Results depend strongly on the market period: some months are positive, some are flat or negative. Please run the Strategy Tester with "Every tick based on real ticks" on your own broker before buying, and judge the results yourself.
