TrueRisk Account Guard Pro MT4
- Utilitaires
- Version: 1.0
- Activations: 10
TrueRisk Account Guard Pro watches your whole MetaTrader 4 account and steps in before a prop firm's loss limit is breached. On top of the daily and maximum loss limits it caps the loss on each trade, adds missing stop losses, limits how much you trade and closes everything before the weekend.
- Firm presets: FTMO 2-Step, FTMO 1-Step, FundedNext Stellar 2-Step, The5ers High Stakes, or your own rules
- Daily reset in the firm's own time zone (Prague, New York, UTC or server time), summer time handled
- Per-trade loss cap and an automatic stop loss for trades opened without one
- The same guard as the MT5 version, tested live on an MT4 demo account
MT5 version | TrueRisk Account Guard MT4 (basic) | TrueRisk Trade Copier MT4 | TrueRisk Trade Panel MT4 (free)
Which one do you need? TrueRisk Account Guard: you only want the daily and maximum loss lock. TrueRisk Account Guard Pro: also firm presets, a per-trade loss cap, automatic stop loss, trade limits and Friday close. TrueRisk Trade Manager: everything in Guard Pro plus the one-click panel: lot size from your risk, break-even, partial close and trailing stop.
Attach it to any one chart. It monitors every trade on the account: every symbol, every Expert Advisor and every manual trade.
Firm presets
Pick your firm and the guard measures the limits the way that firm does:
- FTMO 2-Step: daily 5% of the initial balance, counted from the balance at midnight Prague time (CE(S)T); maximum loss 10%, static
- FTMO 1-Step: daily 3%, same counting; maximum loss 10%, trailing the highest midnight balance (it never moves down)
- FundedNext Stellar 2-Step: daily 5% of the initial balance from the balance at server midnight; maximum loss 10%, static
- The5ers High Stakes: daily 5% of the higher of balance and equity at server midnight; maximum loss 10%, static
- Custom: set every rule yourself
The presets follow the rules the firms published in October 2026. Firms change their rules: compare the panel with your firm's dashboard before trading.
Day reset in the firm's own time zone
The daily limit can reset at any time in server time, Central European time (Prague), New York time or UTC. Summer time is handled automatically, so a reset at midnight Prague time stays at midnight Prague time all year, whatever your broker's server clock is.
What it does when a limit gets close
- Closes all open trades and deletes pending orders
- Keeps trading locked: any new trade opened during the lock (by you or an EA) is closed at once
- Daily limit: locked until the next reset. Maximum-loss limit: locked for good
- Safety buffer: steps in at, for example, 80% of a limit, so slippage and gaps can't push you over
- Pop-up alerts and push notifications to your phone
Per-trade protection
- Per-trade loss cap: closes a single trade once its loss reaches your cap (for example 1% of the initial balance)
- Trades without a stop loss: leave them, close them, or let the guard add a stop loss at the price where the trade would lose exactly your cap. A grace period (default 10 seconds) gives EAs time to set their own stop
Trade limits
- Maximum open trades, maximum total lots and maximum new trades per day. A new trade over a limit is closed at once
Friday close
- Closes everything at a time you choose on Friday (server time) and keeps trading locked until Monday 00:00 server time
The panel shows the active rules, equity, today's result, the exact floor for the daily and maximum limits, how much of each limit is used, the per-trade cap, the trade limits, when the day resets and whether trading is locked.
Try it in the Strategy Tester
In the tester the guard opens random demo trades (tester only, never on a live chart) so you can watch it warn, add stops, close trades and lock. On a live chart it never opens a trade.
How it was tested
Live, on an MT4 demo account (14 October 2026, EURUSD, FTMO 2-Step preset, 0.5% per-trade cap, at most 1 open trade): a 0.10 lot buy opened without a stop got one after the 3-second grace period, at the price where it would lose 24.74 (0.5% of 4,948.50); a second trade, over the 1-trade limit, was closed at once.
MT4 Strategy Tester (EURUSD H1, 30 September 2025 to 14 October 2026, 100,000 USD account, deliberately oversized random trades):
- 3% daily limit for a whole year: the guard stepped in 20 times, at 80 to 87% of the limit, unlocked at every reset, added 490 stop losses at the 1% cap and closed every trade opened during a lock
- FTMO 2-Step preset: the day reset at 01:00 server time (midnight Prague); everything was closed on Friday at 22:00 and trading resumed on Monday; the maximum-loss lock fired at 80% (equity 91,991, floor 90,000)
- FTMO 1-Step preset: the daily lock fired at 81% of the limit; trades were closed at the 0.5% per-trade cap
- Custom rules, New York 17:00 reset, 8% trailing maximum loss: trades without a stop were closed after the grace period; the trailing lock fired at 81% (equity 93,555, floor 92,000)
No limit was crossed in any run.
Good to know
- The news lock of the MT5 version is not in the MT4 version: MetaTrader 4 has no built-in economic calendar
- The terminal must be running for the guard to work (a VPS is recommended for funded accounts)
- It checks the account on every tick and every 0.5 s
- If the terminal was off at the daily reset, the day-start value is taken when it comes back online; the panel shows when it was taken
- For a trailing maximum loss that started before you attached the guard, enter your highest balance so far
- The per-trade cap closes at market, so a fast market can fill a little beyond it; a stop loss set by the guard is placed exactly at the cap
- A saved lock survives restarts. To clear it (for example after entering wrong limits), set "Clear a saved lock" to true once
- Attach it to one chart only
