ICT Premium Discount OTE Honest Stats MT5
- Indicateurs
- Version: 1.0
Where is price in the range - premium, discount or in the OTE zone? This indicator draws it, alerts you, and checks on your own chart what price did next.
ICT Premium Discount OTE Honest Stats draws the current dealing range with premium, discount, equilibrium (50%) and the optimal trade entry zone (62-79%), alerts you when price reaches the OTE zone, and measures on that chart's own history how often price then went on with the leg, next to random candles. Free, part of the Honest Stats series.

What it draws
- Dealing range: from the older of the latest swing high and swing low to now, with its highest high and lowest low (a swing = the highest or lowest candle of 10 on each side)
- Premium (above 50%) and discount (below 50%) shaded, equilibrium as a dotted line
- Up leg (the range's high came after its low): the bullish OTE zone = the 62-79% pullback into discount
- Down leg: the bearish OTE zone = the 62-79% pullback into premium
- The 70.5% line inside the OTE zone
- Arrows on earlier candles that reached the OTE zone (one per leg), so you can see how price reacted
- Ranges smaller than 3 x ATR(14) are skipped (ATR = the average size of one candle)
The panel
- The range, equilibrium, and where price is now: "Discount 34%", "Premium 74%"
- The OTE zone of the current leg, and when price is in it
- The last OTE touch: bullish or bearish, how many candles ago
Alerts
- A candle closes after reaching the OTE zone (on by default)
- A candle closes across equilibrium (off by default)
- Popup, sound, push to the MetaTrader app on your phone, e-mail
The honest stats table
The table uses every closed candle loaded on the chart. For every OTE touch, bullish and bearish:
- OTE touches found
- Then price went 1.0 ATR with the leg first: from the touch candle's close, did price move 1 x ATR(14) in the leg's direction before it moved 1 x ATR against it (within 50 candles)?
- From a random candle, same direction: the same question from three random earlier candles per touch - the base rate of the market
- Difference: touch minus random, in percentage points
When the difference is bigger than luck alone could produce (95% range), it turns green and a green line under the table says so.
Why the random candles matter
Markets drift, so "price went up after a bullish OTE touch" can simply be the trend of that period. Random candles in the same direction show that base rate, so you see what the OTE zone adds on top of it.
Test it on your own chart
Every market, timeframe and setting behaves differently. Change the swing size, the OTE zone or the timeframe and the table shows at once how the zone does on your symbol - real numbers instead of guesswork.
Want every ICT idea in one indicator?
ICT Pro All in One Honest Stats adds market structure, order blocks, fair value gaps, liquidity sweeps, killzones and SMT to premium / discount and OTE, adds them up into one confluence score, and has alerts and a multi-symbol scanner.
How to use it
- Works on any symbol and any timeframe
- More history on the chart gives more reliable numbers (Tools > Options > Charts > Max bars in chart)
- The table counts closed candles only, so it doesn't jump with every tick
- Hover over a zone, a line or an arrow to see its prices
Limitations
- A swing is known only after the candles to its right have closed. The arrows and the table use only what was known at each candle's close - they are never repainted
- The test uses candle highs and lows. Inside one candle the order of moves is unknown, so a candle that reaches both distances is left out
- Past behaviour does not guarantee future behaviour. This is a drawing and measuring tool, not a trading signal
Inputs
- Swing size: default 10 candles on each side
- Smallest dealing range, in ATR(14): default 3
- OTE zone: default 62% to 79%
- Shade premium and discount, draw the OTE zone and the 70.5% line, mark earlier OTE touches (last 500 candles), colours
- Alerts: OTE touch, equilibrium cross; popup, sound, push, e-mail
- Honest test: distance 1.0 ATR(14), candles to decide 50
- Panel and table on/off, corners, font size
