Consolidation Intelligence Pro
MT5 Consolidation Indicator — Automatic Range Detection, 5-Tier Price-Density Heatmaps & Re-Entry Alerts
Consolidation Intelligence Pro automatically identifies where price repeatedly overlaps and trades within a concentrated range — then renders that structure as a 5-tier price-density heatmap directly on your chart.
No more manually drawing every consolidation box. The indicator analyzes historical price structure, measures candle overlap and body-to-wick characteristics, and displays each zone with progressively differentiated density levels.
Use it to study consolidation ranges, price density, historical acceptance, breakout context, and zone re-entry behavior across Forex, Gold, indices, commodities, and crypto.

What the Indicator Does
Consolidation Intelligence Pro answers one core question:
Where has price spent significant time overlapping and trading within a defined area?
The engine analyzes price relationships across multiple candles and identifies:
The result is a 5-tier heatmap — so you see not just the overall consolidation range, but how price activity is distributed within it.
5-Tier Price-Density Heatmap
A conventional consolidation rectangle treats the entire range as one uniform block. Consolidation Intelligence Pro divides each detected zone into multiple density tiers:
The heatmap delivers two layers of information at once:
How Consolidation Detection Works
The detection engine evaluates relationships between consecutive candles and looks for repeated price overlap within configurable tolerances.
Candle Overlap
Measures how much successive candles occupy overlapping price territory. Greater overlap can contribute to a stronger consolidation structure.
Body-to-Wick Analysis
Candle bodies and wicks can be assigned different weights when calculating zone strength — letting you distinguish between areas driven by candle-body participation and areas shaped more by wick activity.
Minimum Strength Filters
Configurable thresholds prevent very small or insignificant ranges from being displayed, keeping your chart focused on structures that meet your criteria.
Smart Zone Union
Markets don't always form one clean consolidation box. Several smaller ranges often develop close together while price remains within the same broader area.
The Overlap Union Engine merges adjacent or overlapping consolidation zones into a larger structure when they satisfy your configured conditions. This reduces fragmented boxes and gives you a broader view of persistent range development.
Dissenting Candle Tolerance
Allow a configurable number of candles to temporarily move outside the developing range without immediately invalidating the underlying consolidation structure — useful when a short-lived excursion occurs inside an otherwise persistent area of price overlap.
Instant Chart Clarity
The default Midnight Gold theme provides a structured visual representation of detected consolidation. Depending on your settings, the chart can display:
The visual hierarchy is straightforward:
Zone → Density → Boundaries → Price Interaction
You can review the full structure of a consolidation without relying on a manually drawn rectangle.
Under the Hood: Core Engines
1. Consolidation Detection Engine
Analyzes candle overlap and configurable price tolerances to identify potential consolidation structures.
Key controls: minimum consecutive candles, overlap tolerance, dissenting candle allowance, minimum zone width, minimum strength requirements.
2. Quantitative Strength Scoring
Evaluates the characteristics of candles inside each detected zone. Configurable body and wick weighting accounts for different forms of price interaction. The resulting score filters out weaker structures and focuses your chart on zones that meet your criteria.
3. Five-Tier Heatmap Engine
Divides each consolidation zone's price range into sub-bands, calculates the relative concentration of qualifying price interactions within them, and assigns the corresponding heatmap tiers — creating a visual density map instead of a single uniform rectangle.
4. Overlap Union Engine
Combines nearby consolidation structures when their price areas overlap or meet your configured union conditions — so persistent ranges appear as broader zones rather than disconnected boxes.
5. Re-Entry Alert Engine
Monitors price interaction with established consolidation zones and can generate terminal and/or audio alerts when your configured conditions are met. A cooldown mechanism reduces repeated alerts from the same zone interaction.
How to Interpret the Heatmap
The heatmap is an analytical representation of historical price concentration. It is not an order-book measurement and does not directly identify where institutional orders are resting.
The indicator does not assume that every breakout will continue or every re-entry will reverse.
Practical Use Cases
1. Studying Range Development
A currency pair begins producing repeated candle overlap within a narrow price range. The indicator identifies the developing structure and displays its internal density distribution — you can then monitor how the zone evolves as new candles form.
2. Analyzing High-Density Areas
A larger consolidation contains several levels of price interaction. The 5-tier heatmap highlights areas of progressively higher calculated density — more information than treating the entire range as one uniform block.
3. Monitoring Breakout Context
Price approaches the edge of an established consolidation zone. Compare the developing move against historical range boundaries and internal density structure before making your own breakout assessment.
4. Monitoring Zone Re-Entry
Price leaves a previously established consolidation and later moves back in. With re-entry alerts enabled, the indicator notifies you when your configured condition occurs — while the historical heatmap remains available as context.
Non-Repainting & Historical Data Behavior
Consolidation Intelligence Pro calculates its analysis from the price data available on the chart.
The indicator does not use future candles to retroactively create historical trading information.
Performance & MT5 Implementation
Consolidation Intelligence Pro is a native MQL5 indicator for MetaTrader 5.
Performance controls include a configurable Maximum Range / Lookback limit to prevent unnecessarily large historical scans.
No external dependencies required:
All calculation and chart rendering happens directly inside MetaTrader 5.
Asset & Timeframe Compatibility
Works on instruments available through MetaTrader 5, including:
Usable across multiple timeframes: M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, and D1.
The most appropriate settings vary by instrument, timeframe, spread, volatility, and trading style.

Who Is This Indicator For?
Consolidation Intelligence Pro suits traders who want a more structured way to analyze:
Use it alongside broader methodologies involving price action, market structure, volatility, volume, trend analysis, breakout analysis, or mean-reversion research.
The indicator provides analytical context — not a mandatory BUY or SELL decision.
Alerts
Optional alerts notify you when price interacts with an established consolidation zone according to your configured re-entry conditions. A configurable cooldown reduces repeated notifications during prolonged interaction with the same area.
Alerts are designed to draw attention to a market event — they do not guarantee a particular price outcome.
