Quantum Gold Session Portfolio is an intraday Expert Advisor designed and historically validated for XAUUSD. Its calculations use M15 price data and an H4 trend filter.
The EA evaluates two predefined checkpoints after the broker-day open. Each module requires an intraday move measured in ATR units to agree with the completed H4 trend regime. Entries use completed bars. Positions receive an ATR-based protective stop and are closed by a defined session time or maximum holding period.

The calculation timeframe remains M15 even when the EA is attached to another chart timeframe. The EA can initialize on other symbols, but the historical validation below applies only to XAUUSD. On netting accounts, MetaTrader combines same-symbol module exposure into one position. Hedging accounts keep the two module positions separate.
Historical Strategy Tester results
The following figures are historical Strategy Tester results, not live trading results. The tests used Pepperstone XAUUSD data, M15, the one-minute OHLC model with broker spread, a USD 100,000 initial deposit, 1:100 leverage, and the default 0.10 percent risk per module.
- 2018-2020: 516 trades, profit factor 1.050055, net result USD 1,919.41, relative equity drawdown 4.8700 percent.
- 2021-2022: 339 trades, profit factor 1.373117, net result USD 9,923.99, relative equity drawdown 3.9718 percent.
- 2023-2024: 391 trades, profit factor 1.309220, net result USD 9,536.60, relative equity drawdown 4.8603 percent.
- 2025-June 2026: 302 trades, profit factor 1.499202, net result USD 8,608.50, relative equity drawdown 2.6187 percent.
- 2018-June 2026: 1,548 trades, profit factor 1.275878, net result USD 33,552.15, relative equity drawdown 4.8729 percent.
The large test deposit prevents a broker minimum volume of 0.01 lot from suppressing signals. Smaller accounts can execute fewer signals. If the minimum lot would exceed the selected risk tolerance, the EA skips the entry.
Limitations
Historical testing does not predict future performance. The 2018-2020 period had a modest edge. There is no audited live record, cross-broker replication, or completed full-period real-tick test. Spread, slippage, swaps, gaps, contract specifications, server time, and future market regimes can materially change results. The run-equity peak is process-local and resets when the EA restarts.
